Grey-cat... mmm, now i can't watch any of the previous mermaid-arts that we had here... But your piece is also wonderful!
I SUPPORT THIS SO HARD
I posted this in the "In Memory of Tuuri Hotakainen" thread, but realized I might get more opinions here.I've already started on a 3d model of Tuuri, but am having trouble deciding on a pose to do for her, since there aren't a huge amount of full body, posed, and detailed pictures of Tuuri.Right now, I'm considering a pose from any of these pages: 444, 653, 656, 743But I'm so indecisive about it. Any thought? Opinions?Btw, I also did a model Reynir for a class (I need to finish it at some point though): http://montaeishungry.deviantart.com/art/Reynir-Arnason-Posed-Model-678253932
I'm no expert in 3D modeling, but when i'm designing or getting acquainted to a character, i usually start with a basic, simple pose. I'd go with the one on the "characters" page first.
Of those choices, I would nix 656 on the grounds of 'how does anatomy even work anyway.' Too hard.nix 653? - maybe, but kinda sorta... crumpled.nix 743 - someone on tumbler skewered this pose rather effectively recently, as legs just don't work like that while running (or flying). and also horrible connotations of where and why she is running but your teacher down't know thatpg 444 - a decent choice, could do.I nominate the pose at the top of this very page, walking along jauntily.
