Piney: Yes, more beautiful characters! Mine are...sadly neglected.

RTR: Sugar skulls are indeed awesome. The patterns are really neat! I can just imagine getting paint all over myself if I painted something like that, though.

Aaaaand Inktober days 12-17. Been trying to do these in pairs of a sort.

Spoiler: show

Mith I love seeing your creature creations! They're all so unique and fascinating. They remind me of something from Wonderland, almost real but not quite.

Drew a quick paladin.

She's summoning eldritch horrors because that's what paladins are supposed to when they really want to kill you, right?
Actually she's  probably just terrible at the job.

Now that I used bright colors, I think there might be issues with how my copy of photoshop is displaying colors, this version seems considerably greyer than my working piece.
dunno how the actual colors are supposed to be, but this looks great

Okay so I sat down, ready to draw fanart, and then instead, what came out of my brain/pen was this thing:

More lighting practice, I guess? Although I still kinda have no idea what I'm doing, I should probably research a bit more XD

I have no idea what this is but I get the reference and feel I must approve of everything about it, especially the dramatic use of shading.

legends say that if someone whispers "yours is the drill that will pierce the heavens" in a mirror three times, a fimbulvarg will appear.

thank you!! i tried to shade it like the reference pictures i used for this O:
it's Undyne from Undertale - a really fun character who is in many ways similar to sigrun, actually. except even more anime.

I know right!
tho making them is an emotional rollercoster between fun and frustration
also that lighting practice thing you did makes me really wanna know what is there where the ight comes from *^*

frenci: of course that's okay, those are reallly cool! I like the... ruins one? yeah
the idea was actually just to animate a brik falling.
i started doing this list of exercises http://a-weird-girl-in-the-corner.tumblr.com/post/128538470617/anatomicalart-quickest-way-to and so i needed an exuse of a backround for a brik to fall ; P
tho the bacground took me way longer than the actual animation X \

so, I got bored and decided to practice making some patterns. Here are the results.
A thing I did to fill up space:

I may or may not have just pulled an all-nighter for this thing.

And bonus non-blurred version (can't tell which I prefer)...
Spoiler: show

This is actually a bit of a birthday present for a friend, but I'd like some feedback before I send it to him - any thoughts on how I could improve this? I feel like something's missing.

Wow! That looks awesome, and I for one am always a sucker for epic space-battle type things. The only thing that I could think of that might be missing is some stars. I can see a couple if I zoom in really close, but they don't translate well when viewing the piece as a whole. But that's all I could think of, and it already looks fantastic anyway!

Hee, thank you! And as for more stars, perhaps one of these is better?

(Technically, only having a few stars would be the most accurate realistically, but EH. Art.)
(Also if I wanted to do this entirely accurately according to the lore of this particular battle, there would be thousands of drones flying around as well, but I don't have that kind of patience my computer probably would give up on computing all of that)

Yes, it breaks up the inky blackness a bit now. And yes, you're allowed a bit of artistic license when depicting epic space battles :P Have I mentioned it looks amazing? I don't think I've said that enough yet...
Thousands of drones... I do not blame you for omitting those.

I finally finished another digital painting of my character! Different one this time.

I would post a full-size view, but there's no site that'll display it full size without converting it to a jpeg, so here's a closeup if you want a better look!
