Sardonyx <3 <3 <3

Hehe yeah!
I'm not actually sure if I should finish it (add a face and shade) or not. I like it as is, but I should at least add her shades? And if I leave it like that, then I might make a fusion series out of it xP

That is an epic Greygale. And I made this to go with the amazing poem Róisín wrote!

Spoiler: the poem • show
The bees dance through a cloud of butterflies.
Pink and white flowers flutter in the air
Spinning and shifting, dazzling the eyes
With petals trailing like a comet's hair.

The mantis dances through a cloud of bees.
A fencer frozen at her point of power,
Sabres extended, balanced at her ease
Lurking within the shadow of a flower.

A galaxy and everything therein:
Matter and spirit, all the things that are
Motes in a sunbeam, small lives whirl and spin
Their pattern, from the atom to the star.

Kit and Blade, the most best large grumpy griffin and short wizard. From Dark Lord of Derkholm by Diana Wynne Jones.
Somewhere in the middle of drawing this, I hid my lines layer and realized I had a pretty decent (and wholly unintentional) Batman silhouette.

Piney, really liking the soft inky feel those are giving off.

Kat, I don't know the character, but I personally think it looks good with no face (though if shades are needed go for the shades!!).

Haiz, you deserve to be proud of that greygale that is a cool greygale.

Tr, The illustrations for Róisín's poem are really quite lovely, and I am jealous of your griffin (and unintentional Batman) drawing skills.

I found a thing crumpled up in my bookshelf and I'm not sure what it is so I'm just gonna leave it here.

Haiz That is indeed a very cool Greygale! Seriously that character looks awesome! :D

Tr/Róisín That poem is beautiful, and the illustration fits it perfectly!  ^-^

Tr That is very good Gryphon! And the accidental batman is cool :P

Thanks! This is obviously a very cool thing. I wonder what size it is compared to a human!

Thanks! And gah, ninja'd! I was just going to say it looked like an Ent... it looks kind of sycamore-y.

Thanks both of you! I've been squinting at it and I'm thinking it's some kind of really, really big golem since there's a tree in it's head. Judging from the birds I'm guessing that a person would be roughly the size of a finger. Though it's legs and torso do look very sycamore tree. I don't know. I think it's too late for me to be contemplating the intent of something I drew years ago.
