Hi guys! i did some concept art (I guess??) for a personal project today. The first is two of like a billion color tests for a character and her son and then a few landscapes (i got tired of the second one while i was drawing it can you tell)

Hmmmmm, I haven't actually posted any of my non ssss-realated art here yet as far as I'm aware. Guess that changes today...

There's a lot of fun things about living in Japan, but one of the newer experiences was the town's festival which was last weekend. My taiko group was playing, and riding along in a float, and each time the float would stop I'd end up getting out my sketch pad and drawing it. At one point one of the little boys had been sitting and watching me draw for a while got up the courage to come closer and he helped me by drawing a person - you can see them at the top of the cart :3 Eventually after the festival I decided to put some actual effort into it and did a background based on the designs on the cart. I guess it was just a story I felt like sharing today.

: D I like this a lot. You're right, the non-text version is visually better... Doesn't block all that nice art. < 3

I like these. /chinhands I'd love to see more character-type drawings from you. And also those landscapes! The second one is my favourite, I think, even if you ran out of steam by then.

It sounds intriguing! That guy looks like a splicing of Emil and Reynir... from the 1980s. :))
About the landscapes, I'd recommend you videos by Feng Zhu's School of Design - they are very useful, especially this one - I learned a lot of stuff just from imitating Feng Zhu's techniques.

I love it! Especially that one in the middle. That watercolour is actually pretty good for first time/not knowing anything about watercolours.

No I think you should keep watching horror films. I love the cloudy affect the watercolour gives. I can imagine this thing advancing out of the fog in front of some long-forgotten cemetery, but somehow it doesn't look malevolent to me? Just kind of tragic. I love it!
