And...there goes my lower jaw again!

That is how I felt when I learned, that either I was wrong bleiving I can not draw with colored pencils or the pencils I had were just crap, or my new colored pencils are made with some sort of witchcraft.

Now it is clear. Because I can't draw people at all. I tried to draw a person with the new pencils.

I could do this ice spirit:

So these pencils work with witchcraft.

Woah, this looks amazing! XoX
I own one kind of colored pencils too, where everything I draw with them suddenly looks beyond perfect. Sadly they are missing a few important shades of color that I need for most of my pictures, so I can only use them rarely...

And the good ones tend to be expensive. So you don't just buy the big box.

I have a few big boxes but unfortunately not the witchcraft variety. I still can’t draw.

Now I am wondering, how the employees would react if somebody in the art supply store just asks for "coloured pencils, a sort with a lot of witchcraft in them please".

Ooh, wow, moredhel, they look so good! XoX
Yes, indeed good materials make a difference in the result of the work, but also like the way you do the colouring, you really do have sense in shadowing and combining the colors  :)

In this case there were not much colors to combine. I used black, white and two tones of blue. To combine 4 colors is not a hard task.

In the store where I go, they would try to sell me one of the knifes they sell for sharpening uncommon drwing supplies.

Today I tried to test how many shades I can get with a single colored pencil. Seems to be a lot.
