13- 2 of Swords - (U) Lack of Perception / (R) Dawning

Emil is confused. His parents said people did not like him because he was rich.  He is no longer rich and people still don't like him. He decides he needs to think harder on this

Oh wow, there used to be an rp? These are fascinating snippets (and illustration).

And dmeck's Emil, I bet the solution is that you're still cultured even as a poor person, and these others who mock you are sad peasants.

There were three, the third one, the one I was part of, died when the bunny comic came out, but some of us started another one that's a rewrite of Fallout 4, though it's going slowly, that's the one that Arthur's from.

14 - Ace of Wands - (U) Innovation / (R) Postponement

Emil was becoming something of a legend in the cleanser corps.
He was always the most precise and won first place in the cleanser games the last two years.
This new delayed explosive allows total destruction of a nest and time for the cleanser to escape.

Spoiler: show
I am thinking the cleanser have games much like the Lumber Jack(Jill) competitions or the Highland games.

15 - The Sun - (U) Rebirth / (R) Clinging

Tuuri slept.  All of a sudden there was this jarring cold and bright light.  She was staring in her brother's face.
WTF!! You can't mess with the SWAN.  What did you do??

Mirasol, these are great again! I love Disa! Is the puffin her fylgja?

Thank you! Yes it is. :)) (and I´ve replaced the picture now)

Welcome back RM! Yeah, Oliver deserves stories too!

Dmeck, I wholeheartedly support that headcanon with the cleanser-games. :'D

14: Ace of Wands

Aka it´s "bring your kids to work"-day in the local magic clock-workshop. Skills and new innovations are being shown off.

15: The Sun

Once again just my own design for a card. Rebirth with a hint of clinging to your old life and the glory of it.

I can´t believe we´re already halfway through the month again...

16 - Strength - (U) Courage / (R) Lack of Conviction

The more Emil thinks about it, the more he realizes his aunt and uncle sold him a story.  They are not going to find anything here.  He also may just get killed, sigh!

17 - 7 of Pentacles - (U) Anxiety About Produce / (R) Process-Mania

Sigrun and her crew finished their week out hunting trolls.  She is anticipating what wonderful meal Mikkel has made for the family.  She then stops in her tracks worrying that he is going to put nasty green stuff in dinner.

Mirasol,
Again your art is inspiring.

Hehe I love the Sigrun-one, Dmeck! :'D How could she forget that Mikkel can´t actually cook?

16: Courage

While we´re on the topic of sharing life-stories of RP-characters. :)
RM, you´ve inspired me as well, so here is my character from the Fallout-RP, Charlie (the girl with the Polka-dot-headband). The other people in the picture are her mom and her brothers.
To become a professional dancer, especially a really good one, you must make the commitment pretty early in your life (so ideally at like 9-10 I believe). And damn do you have to be commited to it. I think to decide on your goal in life at such a young age takes a whole lot of bravery (and conviction).
Neither of which I myself have in spades, but have admired my real-life-Ballett-teachers for all my life (I danced as a hobby for 15years).

17: 7 of Pentacles

This one contains spoilers/ hints to events up to the end of The Magnus Archives Season 2.

Spoiler: show
Both meanings of this card sum up the Archivist from TMA just a little bit too perfectly... Constantly fretting over the state his predecessor left the Archives in and completely overworking as a consequence.

And that would have been the last hurrah of my eerie-green marker that I never expected to actually use that much.

18 - Page of Cups - (U) Discovery / (R) Puzzlement or Blockage

While searching in the old store for supplies, Emil found some toys.  Considering he did not want to carry them, he dropped them on the ground.  Lalli saw something colorful and picked it up.  Realizing it was a puzzle that needed to have the colors match on each side, he started turning the pieces.  He never realized he was now doomed to complete it.

19 - The Star - (U) Healing / (R) Ill Health

As the souls were freed from the Kade, some decided they liked the power they had.  They decided to not follow the swan and instead went looking for their old bodies.  Knowing full well they will infect others

20 - 2 of Wands - (U) Intellectual Power / (R) Hostility to Knowledge

Tuuri was able to get any old world device working.  She established a nice little side business in Keuruu.  Though the Icelandic mages there frowned on her work.  That suited Tuuri *just fine*

Oh dang the Kade-one opens up some story-options. o.O

18: Discovery

The discovery is that it´s much too late to start any sort of complicated drawing on a worknight. So have the clock in my living room instead. :V

19: The Star

Then I proceeded to draw this one at 11pm the next day. In my defense, I could get up an hour later the morning after. ^^'
Hehehehe but this was so fun to draw. My poor grey markers probably didn´t quite think so. (Inspired by page 610 of SSSS)

lwise's story about The Watcher on the Water was the inspiration on that short.

Your illness representation of the star is great.  That is pretty amazing it was all done with grey markers

7 - Knight of Pentacles - (U) Practicality / (R) Unearned Ease

From Up and at 'em
Amiens, France, Spring 2076

Lieutenant Cunningham-Redbridge fiddles with the sole of her boot. It can move a half-inch from the rest by now.
"Don'ae be pickin' at it, you'll only break them, I'll have to carry you everywhere."
She smiles at him and his teasing "For you, James, I'll keep on picking"
"Oi, Lieutenant Slybacon, once yer done makin' doey eyes a' the jock, let me know what size shoe you wear."
Fairfax doesn't stop as he speaks, carrying on over to a crate, which he start to rummage through.
"Four, why do you ask?"
His only response is to fling a pair of boots at her.
"One not so careful owner, Colour Seargent?"
" 'Course. You think I've got money for one of these?"
He gestures to his right wrist, which now has two watches, one equisitely made.
"Is the Colour aware that such looting is..." her adjudant pipes up.
Arthur looks up from extracting dirt from his fingernails to say
"This is war, mate. Finders keepers."
Not quite officious enough to press the matter with the big East Anglian, she turns back to the lieutenant.
“Also, Ma'am, why do you permit him to call you Slybacon, and why does he do it?"
"Because he's saved my life more times than you've pleasured a man, and been in the army since you were in primary school. As for why, it's a joke on my surname. Like how he calls McVitie" she gestures to James "Biscuits. Bit subtler than him always referring to you as Private Bignose, or a whole host of ones that don't bear repeating."

As Mirasol pointed out, Oliver deserves stories too, so here's a tale of the scottish scout, with his own unit before the expedition to the mediterranean.

8 - 5 of Pentacles - (U) Poverty / (R) Alternatives

From Isles Silent No Longer
Lerwick, Shetland Islands, Scotland, Year 129

"Four days. Maybe five at a stretch."
James doesn't respond, he just sits on the crate and ruminates on the supply situation.
He has little time to consider it before Oliver makes his entrance, surprisingly loudly for a man who can be so stealthy. His cousin begins to speak, but sees Kaðlín sitting quietly in the corner, and near seamlessly shifts from English to Gaelic. “We ‘ave a solution. But you probably ain’t goin’tae like it, and the norse’un’s goin’t like it as much havin’ ‘er head boiled”
“We meaning you and Douglas?”
“Actually me and Emily this time. We decided that the solution to our situation is the Norwegians.”
“They've already refused to help us, so I assume you're going to propose either theft or extortion?”
“Well, theft's a strong word, but perhaps some things might get lost or mislaid, after all, that is what the wights of these isles are known to do…”
“Are they, Ollie, are they really?”
“Nah, just some bollocks Emmy came up with, but those bloody vikings don’t know that, do they?”
James smiles at his cousin. “Listen, I don't like the Norwegians any more than you do, but I also don't want to cause too much trouble. The Icelanders are already angry with the Manx and their piracy, and I doubt they can tell the difference between types of Briton, and if they kick up a stink, that’ll make the reclamation of Skye all the harder. But Lieutenant Emily Catrionna Macleod-Lloyd is our ranking officer here, and you two’s idea of a fun date is to go steal supplies from a bunch of arrogant Norseman, go ahead.”
“Thanks, Jim, knew I could count on you.” Oliver leaves with a smile on his face, leaving Kaðlín with a confused look, but when she asks what they were talking about, James brushes it off as being a family matter, concerning Oliver’s relationship with Emily, and that was enough explanation for the Icelander, at least for the time being.

21 - 8 of Swords - (U) Imprisonment / (R) Reprieve

Onni, Lalli, and Reynir were trapped.  Luckily Mikkel was able to save them.  Hopefully they will be able to live it down..

22 - 8 of Pentacles - (U) Apprenticeship / (R) Aimlessness

Onni really did not want Reynir hanging around.  The Icelander could be such an annoyance.  Though he felt he owed him something for helping rid the world of the Kade.  It would not be a bad idea.  This way Reynir would not get any of those high-falutin ideals the other Icelandic mages had.  Plus sometimes company is not a bad thing.

lwise's story about The Watcher on the Water was the inspiration on that short.

Well well well, looks like I´ll have to check that one out.

Once again nice drabbles, RM and Dmeck!

20: 2 of wands

Hm this one was difficult. But well, since both meanings of this card can be interpreted negatively, I decided to draw a villain-duo for this one (not that they look much different from most others I´ve drawn so far... -_- Designing bad guys is hard).
The one on the left has rejected knowledge about magic to the point of destroying his own wand and wearing the broken pieces as some sort of prize, the one on the right has learned everything she can about magic, even the morally questionable parts. Both think they´re better than everyone else for this, and are absolutely in the right to manipulate and rule over people because of it.
That they begrudgingly work together as means to an end and actually came from the same family originally might be a little hypocritical, but hey, the world doesn´t get taken over by itself - plus there will probably be an epic duel by the end.
(That right there was probably the closest thing to a backstory of any of the witch-characters I draw you´ll ever get. :'D )

21: 8 of Swords

Another Mechanisms-card, this time inspired by the song(s) "Alice", their retelling of Alice in wonderland.
More specifically, their interpretation of the Queen of Hearts, in this case an old Rose Red-Soldier which went insane/malfunctioned (It´s never entirely clear in any story of the Mechanisms where Rose Reds show up in to what degree they are sentient. They are clones of a human soldier named Rose that were modified to be the perfect warriors, but often have more machine- than person-vibes.) and started imprisoning and beheading everyone who she sees as a deserter to The War (which ended 60 years ago but details). This one ended up a bit on the gorier side of things, so I spoilered it.

23 - The Hermit - (U) Self-Search / (R) Dilettantism (amatuer)

Reynir knew he was a mage, but he was at a loss on how he could prevent the ghosts from following him and his teammates home.  He felt they would wreak havoc on the known world.  He so much wanted to help them. He asked Freya and Odin for help in finding a solution.

Spoiler: show

I feel that the gods from all faiths/discipline's  would band together and help the hapless souls cursed with trollification or loss to get to their final destination. So they led him to Anne.

Mirasol,
Your 8 of swords gave me Tuuri vibes (If she became/was evil)

Evil Tuuri!? o.O Oh no! :( Now what would prompt that happening?

22: aimlessness

Yes yes I know, absolutely not the sort of aimlessness this card intended... ;)
So anyways, has anyone here played Go Vacation? Cuz that game was my childhood. (and now my youngest sibling is playing it and loves it just as much as me and my brother used to. <3 )
But well, the game is a collection of minigames with an overworld to go with it centered around the coolest vacation you could imagine. In one of the regions there´s a few target-shooting-minigames. Me and my brother were both relatively useless at them (and my sibling isn´t such a sweater as the two of us and just uses my brother´s maxed out account to play the games she likes, which doesn´t include these :'D), but since some were more about timing than aim, I was actually slightly better at than him in them. Hence my player-character´s smug expression over hitting one more target... somewhat (red shots).
just see this as a symbolic drawing of all the target-shooting-minigames, as the one I drew the background of is actually not done with a rifle, whoops...

23: self-search

As promised (to myself :P ), some fanart of my favorite main-character in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Sena.
Sena´s in a bit of a Catra-from-She-Rapop-situation. Always second best to her greatest idol/best friend/definitly crush if her society had a concept of romance, Mio (the cat-girl in the speech-bubble), and is in constant need to compensate for it. Even though she´s surrounded by friends and could skill-wise mop the floor with most other members of her group, she hasn´t really found her place in the world yet. Or at least has yet to notice she totally has.
