Maglor! (well we already met at the "survivor communities" thread, but I haven't properly welcomed you here at the Forum
)
We are all curious to see your story/art.
Postap settings are great because they allow you to pick what you want to keep from our existing world, creating a easily recognizable situation where you can add your favorite "sauce" (magic, aliens, ancient races, etc...).
There's a fascination in using places that we already know but in a different context, and some advantages over creating and explaining a whole new (believable) world.
(not to mention that the impending dangers of war, overpopulation, technological hazards, natural disasters, climate change and so on pose to humankind, creating the sensation that an apocalypse is a situation that can really happen. Some would even say that
will happen. I'm an optimist, tough, and like to believe that we will find ways to overcome our problems.)
