"Encouraging" people with cattle prods is soooo yesteryear ...
Lucky me!
Well, you have to admit Grey is kinda easy, isn’t he? At least to ge started, get the him to finish is another thing
Hey I'm not... OK, OK, that's true! Both parts...
Oof very heavy.
Heavy indeed. And my original intention was to make it heavier, but I balked at writing the trully terrifying parts... I found myself uncomfortable with the prospect of pushing my dear readers into a nightmarish scenario.
Maybe I'll risk writing on that path one of these days, but right now the real world already gives us enough bleakness everyday.
Actually I was casually rereading a few short stories from Gaiman's collection "
Trigger Warning" and they are part of the inspiration to write this one. And, my friends,
those stories are the really heavy ones.
Love the idea of an Antarctic settlement established by the scientists stationed there.
Me too! If I haven't created such a large "Stories to Be Finished" folder (see Jitter's comment above) I'd be tempted to dive deeper into this idea. There are so many interesting angles and challenges, and I even had done some research to familiarize myself with the situation before writing
this story...
I'm sorry, Antarctica Story, but you must go to the end of the line.
