The prompt was Grossling point of view, but you have that one magnificently covered already! In fact it was our excitement with your story that spurred the prompt. I just linked my old one that was at te time written on Fire, but also has Troll PoV :)

And then, next week is Emil because of his birthday. So you are actually one ahead, again!

And I like the story very much. Although it may be that while Loge is a friend of Emil’s, he might not be quite as kind with all humans, including Emil’s family!

But, does Emil become fascinated with fire because of his friendship (his only friend?) with Loge, or is Loge drawn to him because he also is a creature of fire? 🔥 :emil: 🔥

And another question: what would happen if Loge and Lalli met? Would sparks fly, and of what kind?

But yes, a very intriguing story! You always take things in such interesting directions.

(Not sure I will be able to put together anything this week, because of a variety of RL annoyances taking up all my time. Really hope to make something for Emil's special day, though.)

So I'm one step ahead !?!  :sparkle: ^-^ :sparkle:

Thanks! Thanks! Thanks! I caused excitement with my story!!! Yuppy!!!

Well, it's well known that relations with deities are... complicated, with potential to become very complicated. I guess Loge doesn't let friendship get in the way of his "work". Very professional attitude ;)

I think the answer would be both. There's a mutual attraction that works both ways and creates a positive feedback  :sparkle:🔥 :sparkle:🔄 :sparkle:🔥 :sparkle:

And I think that's quite possible he was Emil's only friend back then  :(  (but not now  :) ). It's not hard to imagine Emil, being a bit overwheight, rich and spoiled, having a hard time with other kids.

Thanks Tehta! If Loge and Lalli met... I don't know, but surely the temperature would rise. ;)

And this story... well, let's just say that it fits in the "universe" of Lightning, my very first story (don't know if you read it)

That's pretty much canon, I'd say.

Grey,
Thank you for the story and the link to the other one.  I enjoyed both.

So this week's prompt is Fire and next is Emil?

I must have lost a week.  I thought this week's was Emil...Oh well!!

Also your Wanderer stories were great as Jitter said.

Dmeck, no, this week is the grossling poit of view. Which you already posted! Next week is Emil.

Fire isn’t a prompt, I confused Grey with my link to an earlier story.

However the point of the prompt of the week is to inspire people make something, so getting the prompts wrong doesn’t matter in the slightest!

Wow I am way ahead of the curve.. I also lost a few days.  Work was a bit crazy..

I do have the beginnings of an Emil story.  I hope to have it finished buy next week's prompt time ..  The main Emil part is completed.

I found this one so very sad

dmeck, Grossilng is captivating. You managed well to depict the slow loss of humanity from the sadness for the dead spouse in the beginning to the hunger in the end, while always keeping a connection with the cats. It leaves the reader wishing for more. Nice! :)

Evil Västerströms is very different, but also very good! The story has a very interesting concept that opens paths with a great potential. What are our dear villains up to? Siv seems quite Machiavellian... I really like it, and am looking forward to see what comes next.

lwise, Pieces of Her Heart is great (and has a great title too), and sad, so very sad. An excellent origin story for the bears. Ah, poor mother bear! At least she found a new beginning in the end...

Thank you again.  I do hope it was enjoyable.  I do see Siv very Machiavellian

So, I am really hoping to write something for Emil, but I am feeling blocked, so We Will See. In the meantime, I have decided to celebrate his birthday by learning to paint fire. Here is a photo of one of my first attempts:

I know, I know, the burning house should be a mansion. I guess this could be an outbuilding.
