Okay! As threatened I have decided to post a new 'work of art' I just made: my second gouache painting ever! (Last week, I decided it might be nice to use gouache to plan out my watercolor compositions, so I bought an intro set of three colours + white and black. And then I realized that gouache is another medium with some confusing properties...)

Anyway, Jitter said she wanted something soothing, so here is a tiny sketch of a watery place where she can have a nap (click through for slightly bigger version--but not much bigger as it's a tiny painting):



I hope it's clear what it represents!

I wrote a drabble to go with it! Warning for potentially creepy behaviour on Lalli's part.

“Oh! We’re here again?” Emil held very still, only his eyes moving as he examined Lalli’s haven.  “That’s… fine. I have figured out the trick to not falling in."

“Mmm?” Lalli repositioned his feet, placing one on the edge of Emil’s plank.

“I’m just not going to move! It might be awkward, but I am really tired of getting dunked in swamp-water. How do dream-clothes get so wet, anyway? Besides, you must be getting tired too, of helping me wring them out and hanging them up on trees for me.”

“Mmm,” said Lalli. Before giving the plank a little push.

I like this prompt. I tried to do something myself but did not practice for months and tried to keep it simple (one color two brushes) so sorry for the poor quality.

In my head cannon it was rape (or date rape) She always seemed very stiff around men in what little you see in the comics.  Even with her two sons wanting a hug.  It was like well if you insist... I always got the feeling Ensi was much more content with females
