Well then, noted. It takes a bug attack to get Arthur to get more sociable. Not that Faust minded, to be honest, he looked very shaken for a while. He had a family member in that pod, for sure... but it was nice to see him in a better mood.
Still high on adrenaline, Charlie starts grinning like an idiot.
"Holy shit absolutely. I remember now why I hate killing bugs so much. So much stuff inside."
She gestures towards the giant roaches.
"Then what did those things get to eat in the last two centuries that... this is what they look like now???"
She looks at Robin and Nine.
"Radioactivity alone couldn´t have done this, right? Right?
She has heard of radioactive mutation, but if this is what it does, it would be more of a big deal in politics, wouldn´t it? But then again, the last hours have had nothing but bad realizations about civilization as it used to be ready, so it might as well be what happened to the critters. And if this is what happened to tiny insects, what will originally bigger animals look like now? Hm, better think about it when they find one...
In that moment Charlie remembers the holotape. She hands it to Jay.
"Here you go. Can you put it into the bag please?"
"Better question is how they got in here. Anyone seen any holes in the walls...? I don't remember any this size. Options right now are they either came from below, from that caved-in hallway, or from some hole that's in the residence and kitchen area" Faust says.
"As for food, I had a buddy once that told me he caught a roach in a glass and kept it there to kill him. Bastard survived for
days, feeding on his fingerprint he left inside the glass... he let it go later from sheer respect alone..." He's just talking, it's not directed at anyone. He's checking the quality of the gun.
It doesn't look like it would explode in his face, but it would be nice not to carry a piece that was last cleaned decades, if not centuries ago... He figures he should switch it as soon as possible. Or start to maintain it as soon as they're out...
Robin
"Uh, you sure they weren't just badgers?" Her eyes lingers on Arthur for a moment, almost as if she hoped to glimpse an once shattered then mended collarbone.
"I don't know to be honest. Everything I know about bugs affected by radiation is about misshapen wings and legs, not something like this." She frowns. "It could. Maybe? I don't like this."
"Let's look at the kitchen first," Robin says to Nine. "Someone armed needs to guard the residence door, but let's not split. Had we now and we'd have been outnumbered." She scrapes her boot soles on the floor, getting rid of any residue of radroach, and moves to end of the corridor to peek impatiently into the rooms. She doesn't cross the door yet.

Faust joins Arthur and her. Now that he's armed, he will guard the residence door. Grey ain't getting the gun back, man had it in his hands and asked for a
wrench.
For duck's sake.
Hmm... there's also a creepy looking robot thing. Stay away from the creepy looking robot thing. Why do they always make them so uncanny...
