I'm not sure if these belong in the birthday thread, but as Daéa has already seen them, I'll lump them here with the other star wars art:

Unlos: Nice Rey! I really like the pose in the second one.

Curry: That is also a really nice (and soft and colorful) painting style. The blues are so pretty!

CURRY THOSE HAIR BLUES ;U; they give me life.

I hardly ever put anything in here- mostly because I don't do a lot <_< but I was doodling the other week and kinda liked this one, and thought I might as well put something in here? :/
I was messing with a marker and using water colour pencils for the first time in forever. I still don't know how they work.

i'm gonna dump these here, since I already smeared them all over my Tumblr:

I got a gift card for Christmas from my mum and dad (love em!) for an art store, so I binged on beautiful colored pencils, inks, and markers for my stash. Now all I wanna do is sit around all day and draw cute girls (。’▽’。)♡

Owl: so floofy! (also haha what is leg direction, what are feet, I wouldn't know either...)

I've had a little more free time this new year, so I've been trying to figure out digital painting more by doing some photo studies.

*shuffles over with an arm full of drawings*
My first drawing of 2016! I had some fun with the composition of this one, although I'd use different colors if I had to do it over again.

Some world-building concept art I've been working on for a personal project:

Concept art for a pitch I'm making on Thursday:

And concept for a video game development project:

Did a quick drawing of a flamethrower, took the chance to try a weird color palette.

I was playing with my new watercolour set and made this as a birthday card for one of my best friends.

Over the ssss art museum Kiraly suggested to use masking fluid, so I had to try it. And accidentally a charming watercolour set jumped into my basket in the art supplies shop (hello, another expensive hobby). It's so much better quality than the old (20+ years) set, I'm in love with it!  :)

Oooooooh, very nice result, Helia ! :)
I think I used that (masking fluid ?) once at secondary school. You draw with that first ?

It looks as though masking fluid produces the same effect as wax? One of my sons used to experiment with it, both for painting on heavy parchment-like paper and on sheets of paperbark. He would draw outlines on the paper with a bit of hard candlewax, then paint over it with watercolours. With the paperbark, which is quite soft on the inner side and easy to tear, he would rub in soft raw beeswax from my bees, which made a more blurred/soft effect but didn't tear the paperbark, then paint over it.
