helloooo general art thread
long time no see

this was an honest-to-gods test to see if I can still draw something that isn't SSSS



It's Kireya of the Arrowlost clan, and a unicorn named Unicorn. They happen to be the characters of my pet postapocalyptic story project, ha. Sure, the main character is some kinda mage with a ridiculously long braid but that's a coincidence. (It is. I've had this character for longer than SSSS has existed. SHRUGS. Also she's more of an archer than a mage, really.)

That looks so cool! I actually really like the combination of cool, clean lineart and more painted backgrounds - it's visually striking, and gives a nice sense of definition to the character. I think I'd read that comic!

Yeh, I think I'll properly start working on it in May, after school ends. :)
I noticed you reblogged it on tumblr, thanks! (no one ever reblogs my non-fanart) But yeah, the character's a... railroad guy, so he'll probably be holding a lot of lanterns, heh.

You better Thanks! I only plan to do the painted backgrounds for the outside, but I'm still experimenting and I prefer drawing outdoor settings anyway. Also snow's the only thing I can paint
