Hm I must touch up the dog-pictures some more though, in the first one the jaw is actually open but you can barely see it...

But I have seen some clips of this one, and it does have a similar vibe as what I was going for (friendly lil robot companion with a bit of a cheeky streak), so I´m honored.

Hm, I must say I also read them as female. I certainly used mostly female facial structure-references to make it. But since this is a translation of a 2D-artwork into 3D, I´d say what their gender actually is lies in the eyes of the original artist, and they didn´t state it. So read them however you want. :)

I actually took the time to make a colour wheel challenge image:


Using the Girl Genius characters, I had a hard time winnowing it down to 8 characters, so I cheated.  Sue me.

I'm way behind - Well done to all of you that have been so productive!

@Mirasol, I'm so impressed that your 3d-printed puppy is articulated and can be posed!

And it's a beautifully rendered arm and hand, @moredhel. Hands always take me the longest time to get right!

I had to look up what a color wheel challenge is  :P - I like your character choices, @wavewright62. And your choice of expressions is classic, too!

Moonnoommoon I love it! I love lava, and you have captured the glow very well! Is it just foggy, or is the lava flowing into the ocean like sometimes happens e.g. in Hawaii?

I have no clue lol, i jsut wanted to draw lava so i looked up a reference. I do think it was taken in Hawaii, though!
