When I saw the preview for this it really made me think of John Cage's 'prepared piano' shenanigans.


For anyone less familiar with John Cage and his shenanigans, a prepared piano is pretty much a piano you stick random stuff among its strings at specific points for different effects if I'm not mistaken.

Wow yeah I actually think about this song a lot and get it stuck in my head probably too frequently (I used to hear it at work a lot and it used to be one of the go-to songs a friend and I would listen to on road trips) I actually considered posting it at one point but then was all "nah, better not" so I'm real glad someone else did.

I've been listening to so much Jon Henrik Fjällgren lately < 3 (Wellll I've had his album on repeat, honestly.)
Hmm, listening to "The Reindeer Herder's Joik" right now, but I can only find a live version on the internet. That version is pretty decent, though.

This song was in Eesti Laul, the Estonian Eurovision selection competition, this year and it is so amazing. So mystical and magical, and the language just adds to the feeling. *U* (Would like to find a good translation, though; The single one I've found so far, I do not like)

I'm listening to the album Falling Satellites by Frost* a lot. For some reason I was kind of lukewarm about it at first but now I'm absolutely in love with it. I can't get enough.
