I see he's not quite young already, but he looks kind  :D Reminded me of our dog, who has sadly passed away many years ago.
Aww :(
He's quite a sweet one. He's very simple-minded, and is kind of like the dog equivalent of a nice old man. :)

Carlo, who, in his former incarnations, was Giacomo Casanova and a turkish padisha. Has to be that way, I can't explain how else he can be so cuddly, demanding and adorable. He's also the most patient cat in existence. He only scratched someone once in his whole life, when my sister dragged him through the house by the tail.
He's completely black, except for a few white hairs under his chin.
He's also very musically gifted. Not only when it comes to demanding food/cuddles/attention in the most interesting variations of sounds, but he goes wild when you whistle for him. Für Elise will always his all-time favourite.

he looks exactly like my cat

meet Bindi. he's so nice and affectionate that one of our previous neighbours stole him, moved away and kept him for 3 months. ~true story~

I. that. I can't. I don't know what to say. He looks like the exact same cat. And sounds like him as well. O.O

That makes me very glad Carlo takes some time to warm to strangers.
Please prove to me there is not currently a time paradoxon in action by telling me that the first time he came to your house, he did not jump on the dinner table and stole the whole lump of butter?

So this little smug thing decided to lie down over both of my legs and I haven't been able to move for about an hour:

Being trapped by something cute is always a struggle. Hopefully you've escaped by now though.

...he does consider himself entitled to a place on the dinner table along with any food that might be there, and he has the few white hairs that you speak of o_O

BUT my cat has a tear in his left ear which seems to be lacking in Carlo

idk though, here's another photo

(it's almost impossible to find photos of cat sans sister. even this one contains her toe...)

Nope, that tear is there alright. O..O
Does Bindy have two darker spots on the inside of his right ear though?
BUT Carlo's tail is waaaay bushier/more voluminous than Bindi's.
So I guess we might maybe, hopefully not have a cloned cat, more like lost twins? Might I enquire how old he is?

Ah yes, I've been free for several days. I'm wavering between whether that would be a good thing or a bad thing to still be trapped though, because I wouldn't be able to go to school, but on the other hand I wouldn't be able to go to school. I suppose I could have gotten a less cute captor - if it was anything but my dog that was lying on my legs, I would be struggling to get free :P

hmm, well i've never inspected his inner right ear so i'm not too sure on that one....
he's just turned 12, and he's from warwickshire

would be pretty weird if turns out they are actually twins

It's official then, Ter and Lalligaattori is one singular, schizophrenic individual  ;D

What are the odds of a cat in England being the twin of a cat in Germany though?

Exactly one in a million.

Exactly one in a million.
I'll take your word for it simply because you are known to make highly reliable assesments of this kind.

It's referring to a Discworld trope: "One-in-a-million chances turn up nine times out of ten". (And other variations.) Discworld characters have been known to try to tweak the odds to get exactly 1/1,000,000 so as to hit that 9/10 bonus.
My one-and-only: :uk:

wh-where did you get Carlo?

The shelter. Don't know if that makes it better or worse?!! Do I want to know where you got Bindi?

Apparently he belonged to an old couple before we took him in, which is why he's so spoiled.

Alas Fim, sorry to disappoint, but my sister's toe looks quite different from Lalligaattori's. And I don't think we have tiles like that.
If Lalligaattori were to tell me her/his sister is 16 however, the topic will be open for debate again.
