Something to do with Tuonela? Although I suppose that could be insensitive to those with strong non-Finnish religious beliefs.

I was about to suggest a Visitor of Tuonela, but you have a point. I withdraw my suggestion.

One with the stars?
Actually might not fit the theme of the comic now that I think about it.

How about Bird Path Traveller or some other variation.

Maybe something like Exploring New Worlds?
The comic is based on Nordic mythology. I doubt anyone that religiously intolerant reads it except maybe for the pleasure of finding some new thing to be outraged about. But if we must go down that tiresome path of political correctness we could call them Departed Souls.

Sailors on a Sunset Sea sounds poetic and peaceful to me but really doesn't relate to the comic at all

Possibly not my final suggestion, but right now I'm thinking along the lines of "See You in Valhalla" à la Sigrun, or maybe just "In Valhalla."
(Freya had her own halls, but dunno if we want to segregate in a gender-diverse platform such as this one?)

We often tend to use euphemisms that imply that the deceased is still alive but on a different plane (mine is no different, I guess). Given the implications that this status has in the SSSS universe, I'm a bit stuck in coming up with something truly appropriate.  midwestmutt's idea has strong merit in this regard.

I quite like the idea of "Traveller on the Bird's Path"

We are making a rank title to mark the accounts of deceased members of the forum. If you have any suggestions please feel free to share them here.
In amateur radio, the deceased are called "silent key", and the SSSSverse has the concept of the Silent World (which I wouldn't want to refer to verbatim, as it's not exactly suggesting peacefulness). Not quite sure what to combine it with, though ... "Silent Soul"? "Silent Kantele"? Some other "now silent" tool that fits the SSSS background without being outright connected to the religious beliefs?

I'm not sure, would a reference to the henki's absence qualify as a religion-implying one?

The comic is based on Nordic mythology. I doubt anyone that religiously intolerant reads it [...].
IIRC the general forum contents get indexed by web search engines, hence, the ones who might come looking for things to remember the deceased by could be relatives etc. but not fellow Minnions ...

I quite like some of the suggestions already posed. To cast one more into the mix, perhaps some phrasing of "Onto the Next Adventure", though that might be too euphemistic. Traveller On The Bird's Path is very sweet and teared me up a little.

Midwestmutt, I didn't read "strong non-Finnish religious beliefs" as anti-Finnish beliefs, so much as being a person of a faith incompatible with that model. Someone who held a great personal belief in the Christian Heaven or the reincarnation of soul might not be best described as resting in Tuonela. I don't think it would be a source of outrage. Just a desire to not put someone in an ill-fitting box. In the end, a title can never capture the full scope of remembrance, but I think the more expansive titles come closest.

'Exploring What Happens Next' occurs to me, lifted from Neil Gaiman's Sandman.  "What happens next?," a newly deceased soul asks Death.  She smiles & says, "this is where you get to find out."
(The drawback - the idea of generic moving on concerns me, because quite frankly, we've had hundreds of members move on to something else!)

Individual profiles are not crawlable by search engines, nor is the personal board. I don't think it's a huge problem, they would only see it under posts and if they end up coming here to look for memories I think they would at least have some context as to what this site is for.

The poll is up! It will be open for a week.

I was a little late for voting but definitely for the one that got the most votes - gave me goosebumps and a lump in my chest.
