So I'm now up to three job offers.

The first was a position in new mexico to monitor cattle and horse grazing allotments, originally had accepted this and had got as far as the tentative selection notice phase.
The second (the one I've accepted and is the one I'm likely to stick with) is a position in eastern California to monitor the same+assist the hydrology techs in doing their monitoring as well. It's a pay grade higher than the first one, and there's barracks housing available on site.
The third was seeing if I was interested in filling out a noxious weeds eradication crew in oregon. Kindly told them that I had already accepted a position elsewhere already.


Now I need to worry about paperwork and winter positions.

Thanks also, Urbicande. My kin are okay, when I heard what was happening I was somewhat worried because they work in the city - BBC and Museum. Let's hope the Minnions there are also okay, and nothing else horrible happens!

I went for a walk in the park this morning, and as I sitting in the woods resting I heard someone singing opera, like really really well. I couldn't tell where it was coming from and I didn't see anyone so I was confused for a while until these three older guys walked down the path laughing. Apparently one of them had been singing, so my mom clapped and he thanked her.

It's very weird to hear disembodied song in the middle of the woods.
