Kick, I like your contribution to the Sigrunvoid (why void? Because we're filling it? I can use an expression even if I don't understand it!), and you've colored with a mousepad? Wow, that's some tenacity right there!
I've made a redraw of Tuuri, done while watching Smirtys quick-draw until I almost knew the songs by heart and
stealing copying learning from that teqnique as best I could. This forum is so good for inspiring and stretching drawing goals! For comparison, the Tuuri I drew 5 months ago (to be fair, I was not going for realistic to the same degree, and I used a lot less time, about 1 hour compared to at least 4 hours for this redraw (I lose count of exact time. This is the third evening I'm working on it, and choose to call it finished)
Things I've learned from this (and I realize I could implement these a lot more than I do):
1. Remember all the different colors and don't use only three shades of the palette for base, shadows and highlight
2. Shadows are a lot darker than I think. (While shading there was a lot of "no, darker than that. No darker than that, too. ... Wimp, those shadows could still be darker" going on in my mind).
