Mate, those are interesting speculations about the magic. Some of the ayahuasceros could have survived, and properly trained ones might remember the combinations with other plants that turn it from potentially deadly and not much use to a functional tool. Does arbre dos brujos grow in the area you cover? I have seen it further north. Mind you, I am strongly disinclined to ingest any of them, don’t think they would suit my body, and it seems to me a cruel usage, but I have sat with the plants, sung to them and listened.
How do you envisage the duendes? And what kind of duendes does your area have?
And at least at first, breeding from the immune horses seems wise. Gauchos on trail bikes, hmmmmm.......
