你们会说普通话吗?（Mandarin Thread? Anyone?)

Hi rubyliu! I am super useless in this conversation! BUT I found a cool app recently that is pretty useful, called HelloChinese, which makes you pronounce things out loud and corrects you, so that's useful! Unfortunately, I'm not sure it will get you to fluency very quickly;;;
Watching videos does help a lot! I looked on the web just now, and this seems pretty cool? I haven't tried it yet, but maybe it might work for you!

But yeah, having a tutor's gonna be the best thing- I've had a tutor for the past two years, and my Chinese level has basically skyrocketed (it's still pretty bad though (  •́ ω •̀)a but wayyy better than before) so yeah! Ask around at any schools or colleges + language programs, there should be Chinese tutors in your area!

+ like Russet said, languages take time to learn, so there's no need to rush ;w;

Seriously though, it took me a couple of months just to be able to say anything in English with confidence. Is there any reason you want to learn the language quickly? o:

我等会儿会去看看那些网站，看起来蛮有用的。我的母语本来应该是中文－汉语是我第一个学的语言。可惜现在有点忘了怎么说了，因为我在中国上美国学校，一直都是讲英文的。我现在不是每天上中文课 ，所以语言能力变差了。
(I'll check out those links later, they seem useful. Chinese is my first language as in I learned it first. But now that I'm taking Spanish at school, my speaking skills are getting worse.)

Well, I have no problems with reading and understanding, since my parents speak very very very fluent Mandarin. But when it comes to speaking/writing, my mind is in the state of a potato.
and nOOO don't give up mandarin, it's such a wonderful language! I mean, you've been learning for such a long time! Don't give up, you can do it! *fistpump* *accidentally punches someone in the face*

Sorry for both the thread necromancy and if I'm repeating a previous question, but does anyone know of any good websites for learning Mandarin? (I do not have a smartphone, I can't use apps.) I tried Duolingo, but it's not there and there's no sign that it will be at any point in the near future.
