[snip]
I thought it'd be nice if I/we could share some of the artworks and our ideas about what could happen / "scenes" and so on in a thread because they are fun and still SSSS-related in a way and wanted to know where I could do that because I've been told that that's not a thing that should happen in the regular art thread and should go somewhere in the PerSSSSonas threads. Hence me asking. Because if that's not a thing here, I won't bother with prepping things up for the forum and just keep it among my group of friends.
[further snip]
Well, I don't really see any potential issues with it- it's a nice idea, and I'm sure it would fit in fine here. Thanks for the clarification, too.
Honestly, we have such a diverse range of backstories and projects here that I really don't see any potential issues.

Announcement: As some of you may have noticed we have updated the forum rules pertaining to art posts. The changes/clarifications are as follows:

- Do not post pictures of, or links to, any pornographic material of any kind.  This will result in an immediate ban, no questions asked.  To cover cultural differences, I'll clarify that this rule includes most nudity. Non-erotic nudity is allowed if put under spoiler with a warning.

- please keep shippy content containing kissing or upcoming sexual actions under spoilers with a warning

- If the drawing contains blood/scariness/violence within what the canon SSSS comic has portrayed/contained, you do not need to put it under a spoiler

- If it does contain graphic gore or abject horror, it's not the best idea to post it outright. Please link or spoiler with a warning.

Remember, SSSS is rated PG-13. If you know your art is above a PG-13 rating then it cannot be posted here.

Thank you for reading, and if you have any questions, complaints, or comments please do not hesitate to contact me, Kjeks or Sunflower about it.

Ohhhh wow. I can't believe I missed this whole discussion, but for all it's worth I think your idea is very interesting and I'm excited to see how it plays out. Now there are two separate 'story arcs' in our ssssona universe! I wonder if (read: hope) the expeditions will cross paths at some point - the resulting fiasco will be very fun indeed ;) I don't think it's too important to have a separate thread, as long as you don't mind differences in plotlines etc on this one. It's up to you as a creator, I suppose.
Your art is amazing by the way! The pencilwork and art style are fantastic ^^

*grabs ParanormalAndroid and KauniitaUnia and takes a group bow* thank you, thank you very much 8)

Well that's one style I haven't tried on my troll yet, gimme a day or two... *rolls sleeves*

Oh my.. what have I done...

Ooooo! Curry you've given me the perfect excuse to draw a Wendigo-Sona. (I never thought I'd ever do it. . .Wendigos are super scary)

D'arvit I was gonna do Wendigo Strelock.... now what to do...

Halloween theme? Halloween theme! Lauftroll as...

...anti-huldra. Er. Joke being that huldra are supposedly beautiful everywhere but the back, whereas the Lauf, with a bit of stretching the skin here and there -

I'll show myself out now shall I...

Point of order, depending on the lore in question that's usually elves with the hole in the back.  Huldre generally are just fae women with cow tails, generally a kind spirit that watched over your fire while you nap in exchange for some of your food, also some lore elaborates that if a guy marries one in a church the tail falls off and they turn into a loving and devoted, and depending on translations unattractive woman.

@all: Good god so much awesome art.

OK, the first time I tried to post this, it didn't take. Giving it another go.

They told Sonja to dress up as something scary. She'd heard tales of a strangely loud (and terribly fast) grossling, told by those who'd travelled far into the Silent World.

in retrospect I probably should have asked Laufey first

First past the post, I say, and the Devil Rash take the hindmost.  8) Even if you both do WendigoSSSSonas, I'm sure they'll both be distinctive.

Hee hee!  You know you've hit the big time when you inspire Halloween costumes.  (Princess Elsa, Donald Trump, and now... the Laufeytroll!)

HEY ALL! I have two more mask explorations today - one of a super cute cat Karri and one of a creepier antique doll Karri!

Karri as a cat (cat-ri? nyarri?) would no doubt have a clean + cutesy aesthetic because I'm secretly a sucker for that look ::)

And here we have Karri as a delicately posed doll with just a bit of wear and tear :P Those little hearts are really fun to draw, 10/10, would draw again

I've read some cow-tail stories too, that's about right! No prob about calling this a Norwegian elf Lauftroll instead, huldra just sounded a bit more compact (and in some stories they do have a hole in the back, or their backside looks rotten or like tree bark - but that's folk tales for you, they can blend or mix up different creatures).

Btw fun fact time again, Icelandic elves don't have anything that you could use to tell them apart from humans, they're just really, really beautiful and have everything just slightly better than us. Nicer clothes, astounding jewellery, better cattle, in today's lore it basically goes that their cars are fancier than yours.

The bad thing is that some of them like to use humans as playthings, f.ex. massacring whole families for Christmas sport. Even the ok-ish ones turn horrific if they're angry and they don't much care where their revenge hits. There a story of a woman who found a beautiful scarf and decided to keep it even when the owner - and elf lady - asked to have it back, so the elf drowned her sister, who had done absolutely nothing wrong. A happy elf can be friendly (unless the elf is happy because it just murdered your whole family and plans to spend the Christmas dancing in the now-empty, blood-splattered house) but even then all depends on if you made the right elf happy. If another one feels insulted or jealous, bye bye.

in retrospect I probably should have asked Laufey first

AHAHAHAHHAHAAAAAA BEST (and I feel a bit like trying to figure out how to make a Laufeytroll head for, uh, cosplay reasons)!!! No no no, no one needs to ask my permission for doing something awesome like this! ;D This is brilliant, and btw if someone ever does decide to dress up as the Lauf I'll be wanting photos.

While the idea is clearly best-idea-2015, I think it may be against Nordic Law to pose as a troll. Y'know, people might be ... well, scared. Panick-stricken even ... that was the point all along wasn't it.
