Hmm....land of palm trees covered in trolls.... that could be a lot of areas... especially considering there's many kind of palm trees... however the most likely culprit I would have to guess would be...... Costa Blanca (apparently the palm capitol of europe) in spain, as that would be far enough south to be relatively warm by comparison, but also probably close enough to be pulled off by Ilya with Reynir in tow in a single night while also having had enough of a population density to have gotten enough rash victims to be "covered" in them (especially considering Spain was the known ground zero for the epidemic since we don't know where the patient 0 refugees came from)

I actually didn't have anything more specific than Spain or Portugal or maybe the Canary Islands in mind, so uh, yeah! yeah, that's exactly where I meant!
As for how far they can go in a single night - ehhh, physics pfffft, this is a superhero AU of a fiction story only kinda sorta based in science in the first place, ANYthing goes.
