The pets thread!

I met my stepmother's cats for the first time yesterday one of them decided that my lap was her favorite lap. There were three other people in the room, and of course she chose the lap of the one who likes cats the least. _{(I'm a dog person)}

But of course. Whenever my aunt from Sweden comes to visit, dear old Pulla decides to give her all the attention, to sleep in her bed, the usual... She's allergic.

I have lovely Finnish Lapphund. I'm sorry, but I just have to show him off.





If there is one thing my dog hates, it's when I take photos of him. That's why he seems sleepy in these as he was too tired to protest.

The quality isn't the highest, but... Here are some pictures of my cat!  His name is Truman, he's a tuxedo with a mustache and gloves, except his one black toe, which always made think of a James Bond character carrying a pistol.  He is pretty refined, after all.  He grew up following me around the house, because I was the one who played with him all the time. 
He's back on good terms with me, returning my slow blinks, and he's laying on my belly again.

And the dog, he's a big fat love ball.  Every time I come home he gives me a big dog-hug (pushes the side of his head into my lap and closes his eyes out of trust). He might be part bear, we're not sure... either way, he's very big.  He intimidates everyone, but he just smiles all the time and would never hurt anything on purpose.  In the end, he's really my dad's dog.

Also, pet story time.  The dog actually got hit by a car on an outting with my dad.  Flew through the air and everything.  Poor guy was out of it for a while, but he managed.  He's tough as nails.

<EXCESSIVE CAT PHOTOS WARNING>
These are my two cats Dolly (white, large) and Mitzi (small, dark points) they're sisters and like to hang out and do everything together. Mostly sleeping and exploring and grooming.
These aren't great photos but they're the only ones on my phone


Dolly is a huge goofball, obsessed with keeping her fur tidy, but embarrasses herself a lot. She gets huffy and ashamed easily X'D so much so that I've started to say "Ugh you're such an Emil u___u"
Mini Mitz is very timid and dainty, she's referred to as mine because I had to hand feed her etc when we bought her (for free, she was thrown in with Dolly- the prize of the litter- because she was the runt with a hip problem) so I'm her favourite go-to human to sleep and drool on she's also pretty protective of Dolly if she's sad or unwell, (bottom left) and vice-versa.

They're both very vocal and talkative, social, and leave white fur on everything

They seem delightful.    That last picture with the dilated pupils... she was ready to be pet and stumble around in moron mode for a while, it seems.

Concerning posts I missed from being on my phone (finally back on my computer.  I can't even deal without using a proper keyboard and mouse...), yes Truman is a classy fellow, most of the times.  He descends into moron mode when I'm around, though.  Also, I've never seen a James Bond flick, so I'm not sure if it's Goldfinger or not...

Oh, and Lars, you totally need to get a cat.

She was in play/kill mode, her eyes dilate ridiculously when there's string carnage involved. She's a string killin' machine!

Things to get done before I get a cat:
Finnish my training, so I actually will have time to care for some of them
move somewhere where cats are able to go outside (or have a vast space of rooms to discover)
Own a door where you are able to build a cat flap in.
Find one to two cats

Is Dolly the one whose tail you French-braided?  And is she the enormous stretched-out one in the lower cut-out photo?  (Right above the mystery hand.)  She looks like a big lapful of lovin'.  (Mitzi looks adorable too, and a lot more self-reliant.)

Yup, that's her! (The mystery hand with the nail polish is my sister's hand the other mystery hands above are mine) She struts around after being brushed like "Oho I'm so resplendent look at me I'm a purebreed ohoho" and then waddles through a burr patch like "Oh no. NO. What do I-- I CANNOT BE SEEN. *tries to squish head under piano*"
Mitzi can be slightly more coordinated self-reliant, but she's semi-lame, delicate and prone to loneliness (and actually cries tears ;__; ...but I think that's not because she's overwhelmed with sadness). Dolly is very prone to loneliness too, even after a couple of minutes. I think it might just be their temperament?
