Hello all it's me, trying to keep this moving forward.
What are peoples status? Darkrawen is your sync-thing still misbehaving?
I have posted another thing, and I am beginning to wonder if we want to start small and just try linking or posting stuff direct to here might be wise.
What are peoples thoughts?

Yep, it doesn't want to synch. It has done so once of like, 6 tries, while other people were on, and then it lasted a minute :/ If we're still using Syncthing, I'm going to have to back out, sadly. I've tried to check my firewalls and such, but I don't think it likes my location very much.

Okay, I'm sorry to hear that.
I confess I am holding out changing things unless a bunch of people call for it, as want to just get things moving.
(You and I are the only ones who have posted anything.)

Bump. could someone post something? It would be nice if we could get just a piece or two in. I confess it's hard for me cause I want this to work, but I can't make it work unless people participate.
(I do do good critiques, I swear.)

It's extremely incomplete (only a chapter and a little tiny bit, and probably not up to par since I wrote it years ago, but I'm interested in reviving it, so I put up a story about lesbian ghosts :) I'm not sure where it was supposed to go so I put it into the "to be read" folder

Have you turned on Synthing?
I don't see it in my folder.
Make sure you are sharing it with

(It should show us as Mainframe, unless you renamed it.)

Unwary,

If you need something to read/more members posting, I have a story that I is in great need of critiquing.  It's novel length and about half finished.  Anyway, just let me know if there is space and I will try to set up the Synthing thing.

(I don't want to jump in ahead of approval again ;) )

If approval of other members is necessary, I'm all for yes.

Also, sorry I'm not throwing everything, ever since the schoolyear started I'm stuck on a massive writer's block... I mean, I've written like three pages since the start of September...

Hey Meshebe.
We haven't codified the new member thing but I am all for you joining and i need to figure out a better policy than 'wait till everyone says yes.'
At present, my syncthing cannot activate over the college's restricted guest Wi-fi, but I will read as much as I can tomorrow.

Yeah, I have it but it's showing up as "Disconnected"

Also, since we're all for this "all members need to agree", can I ask everyone's general opinion of syncthing?

It seems to be working for me (at the very least, it does connect me with Unwary), so I'm fine with it. If you want to change it for something different, though, I don't really mind either way.

It seems really confusing to me. I haven't been able to figure out what I'm doing.  :-\

Where do the problems start? Maybe I can help.

Well, I can't figure out how to put anything on there. And now my computer is rebelling against letting me open it at all. *throws hands up in air*
Maybe we could change to something else? Something a little more user-friendly? Evernote could probably work, or something similar.

I've always liked things like Dropbox or Google Drive.  I haven't tried Syncthing yet though.  Hopefully I can give it a try tonight/this weekend and get something up there.  BTW Thanks Unwary and Aierdome for letting me play too!  :)

For the first thing, sorry if I'm stating anything obvious, but did you specify folder path? The default one didn't work for me either, I had to make one and then set it in folder settings on syncthing. As to why it doesn't work... afraid I'm as much mystified as you are. :-[ Perhaps try to delete it and download it again.

I don't mind dropbox, but Google Drive... I don't know, I just don't feel comfy with it. I think I'm one of those people who're afraid of Google espionage or something  ::)
