Laufey and Urbicande: it's a pity your weekend plans have been derailed by weather. This snowstorm in America sounds quite nasty! Here it's cool, down to 24C, so much nicer. I'm getting in extra firewood, because yesterday I noticed that about half the deciduous trees in my area have suddenly started to show autumn colours. Which is crazy, because it's the middle of summer. Early and sudden leafturn here is generally an indicator for a hard winter ahead.
We've had 2ml of rain, which is a tiny amount, though a great deal better than nothing. It's also crazy though, because ten miles away they had flooding, and a bit over thirty miles south there was heavy flooding, with one person killed and another injured by lightning. We got a dry storm here, and that little bit of rain after it. Not complaining though, it's the most rain we've had since September last year.
