the czech lowlands are just 100% fog lately. no rain, no snow, only fog. there was a brief moment of sun yesterday, but other than that...........

Christmas weather is broken. It's soooo hot and rainy here.

I just realized that the least time I saw snow on the ground was in July (I was on a mountain). T-T And this kind of weather is bad for plants because it messes with their internal clocks, so I'm worried for all the trees and perennial plants in my backyard too.

It got my attention too, but in the sense of a favorite cartoonist drinking industrial chemicals.    It sounds like Humon setting up a "Finns will drink anything" joke. I guess the real surprise is reading about it in Schlock Mercenary instead of SSSS or SATW.

I'll have you know tar is awesome! Tar liqour and syrup are delicious, but my personal favourites are tar candy and tar ice cream. I like to use tar shampoo because then my whole head smells like tar and that's one of the best scents in the world. I also have a weak point for boats and houses that are freshly tarred and still smell of it.

Humon may have a point in that Finns drink anything with alcohol in it, but here the joke should rather be that we also love everything that has tar in it in one form or another...

The only gift I brought back for me (as opposed for other people) when I was in Finland over the summer was tar liqueur.  Mmmm

There's also a Finnish saying stating that a disease that isn't cured by the sauna, booze or tar will kill you, so tar is also one of our top three medicines.
