So there I am writing and I look down at what I've written and the sentence is this:

"Ich drikker inte." Which means "I don't drink" but. Ich is german, drikker is norwegian, and inte is swedish. And my brain thought this was normal.

You know you're tired when...

It looks pretty normal to me. But then, my thoughts have had a mix of Japanese, Korean, German, and Spanish before. At least in your sentence the languages are related. And why aren't you drinking? Water is good for you, isn't it?

Good luck, Piney! And yeah, food and sleep and maybe a hot shower will make for a better essay as well as a saner Piney. Hope the essay works!

You can do it! (Also have some food, that would probably be good for you.)

Thank you!
Yes, yes, food..... that takes time to make...... I suppose I should take an eating break while it's still before 10 PM. Don't worry, I was going to eat anyway; I kid

Whereas here it's 9am, 38C and getting hotter by the minute, and I have an interesting day of trying to not let my garden die combined with a bushfire alert.

I've been watching the weather forecasts for SA with a mixture of horrified sympathy and shame-faced relief that it's not hitting my part of the country. Good luck! :(

Yeah. Where I live we're safe from just about everything, though the 2011 Queensland floods did shut down the area for a few days, but we weren't severely hit. I hope you are okay down there!

Sometimes slipping on the ice is like WHAM and you're down and you have no idea what happened, but other times it's like this one slow-motion movement where your foot just slides away from you and you just think "nooooooooooooooooooooo" while gently lying down on the ice against your will. Sometimes with your legs painfully folded beneath you.

Anyway I did some funny limping to the bus stop today
you'll know where to find me.

For me it's usually more like endless dancing on a spot going augh - augh - augh - AUGH - augh - AUGH and eventually either giving up and falling or somehow managing to shuffle my way out of the icy spot. Hope your leg's ok. :-\

Hmmm, usually around here the ice is in small enough puddles that you see it coming, run up to it, and slide like you're in sock feet on a hard floor. or at least that's what I do...  ::)

When I got to the train station today on my way to work, the screen with the train schedule said that the next train was a "test". Two minutes later, a shiny new train full of people in uniforms and hard hats pulled into the station, and there was an announcement over the loudspeaker that this was not our train and to please wait for the next one. The train made the music for announcing the closing of the doors, even though the doors hadn't been opened, and the train left the station. My train arrived shortly thereafter. I've never seen a train test before, and it's nice to know these things are tested and inspected before being put into use.

Haiz, I hope you aren't injured. My mom broke her elbow slipping on black ice last year. That ice can be sneaky and painful!

Heh, I tripped getting off the bus this morning. Only avoided face-planting onto the brick pavement with a strategic twist of my neck at the last second and ended up taking most of the impact on my legs and palms, so you weren't the only one limping today. And I had no ice to blame, just my own incompetence :)

Good luck with the exams!
