Speaking of the update, I'm so glad Reynir isn't dead. My son lives on!

For those of you who would like to hear the update on my epic tale of self inflicted face cancer:
It somehow hurts even Worse than when I went to sleep, even tho it has yet to purple up nicely. Most of the damage is right under my eyebrow on the outer ridge of bone so methinks the bruise is a bit deeper than expected.

Also that update was totally worth the sleep wait even tho the poor fluffy baby looks so saaaaad

So far i've just been toughing it out since it only really hurts a lot when I poke it

It doesn't help that the area around the orbit of the eye is extremely rich in nerves, and the protective layer of muscles and fat is very thin. So any bruises in the area go straight to the bone, and hurt a lot.

Well... technically speaking it isn't tough, it's just time-consuming to attach a large-ish picture exactly in the middle of a cardboard. We use a kind of double-sided tape that really catches when it touches something, so you better be reaaaally sure you're positioning the picture exactly in the middle of the passe-partout before you let it even touch it. Failing this you have either a) ruined the passe-partout (which is a big no-no if there isn't any more of the same cardboard in the same colour left) or b) ruined the picture (then you've well and truly messed up, NEVER ruin the customer's picture).

Oh my gosh my grandma just walked up behind me, saw my desktop background (which is a large version of this) and started talking about the characters - and she's never heard of SSSS.

Apparently they look like the people who walk around in New York in the winter.
-Tuuri is a cow because of her mask and the shape of her head. And she's praying.
-A squirrel just jumped on Emil's shoulders and he's trying to get it off. Also he "works on his knees a lot." (she used female pronouns at first)
-Sigrun is happy and enjoys walking.
-Mikkel is a doctor who's just walking home from his job.
-Reynir is a girl who just found someone's cat and is angry about having to return it.
-Lalli is an astronaut.

She thinks they're people who just happened to be walking near each other; either that or Sigrun & Mikkel are parents to the other four.

...I almost ran out of air laughing.

I don't blame you : D Ahaha oh dear. ('Parental figures' fff.... though - calls to mind those fanarts of Mikkel as Crew Dad, looking so totally done with all this nonsense.... So perhaps not too far off)

I upscaled it with this website then did right click -> set as background, and somehow it fit my desktop without looking pixel-y.

Alas, I'm not at my grandma's house anymore. Maybe I'll try when I see her again on Christmas!
