I've been meaning to edit my CV since I came back from Prague, but......... why do that when I can just procrastinate and dye my hair blue instead, y'know?

speaking of good life choices, here's a summary of my week so far:

Dear procrastination,
I know we're good friends you want us to be good friends, but I can't held it anymore. Our love is impossible.
I know you've always been here to help me avoiding these terrible obligations which are frightening me, as "find a new job", "call x.", "answer to this mail" or "send your CV here and there", as much as "meet y." or "don't forget to say to z. it won't be possible", and the awful "go back to your beta-readed last NaNo and correct what you have to correct and find answers to questions you still don't have the answers without crying or curling yourself into a ball somewhere please" *Shivers*
I also know that "read one more chapter", "find the good stitch for your next knitted project", "answer to the pleasant messages" and "spent one more hour on the forum/webcomic page/something else" is always better and has less danger than some others aims, but if we continue like that I'll still be sitting on my chair and not walking on my path. And I want to walk on my path.
So, I'm telling you : it's over. I'm working on what I have to do. As soon as I'll have an other cup of tea, and maybe a chocolate too.

Not really very exciting.. But I got no work done today except drawing a teacup as some animation background. Like seriously why does it take me so long to make these animations?!??!?!? Why do I put it off and off every week until sunday afternoon and then suddenly make one in three hours. It should take LESS than three hours if I actually got into it properly like a normal person. And before you get all "oh thats normal, owl, your fine" I have a history of being ridiculously dedicated to procrastination and the act of doing nothing. I can stand still in a doorway for and hour and half before I work out what to do next, I sometimes just freeze with a fork of food halfway to my mouth for forty minutes...it doesn't even feel like time passes ;__; So my homework procrastination is just....beyond....
So anyway I have hit an output low riiiiiight before my graduation project (Im not graduating for another 2 years though) is due....why. Why do I do this.

But any who that's not the story I planned to tell <_<
Today I found a tiny tiny tick in my shoulder u___u basically the end. Aaaaa.

Owl, I have to tell you, that's seriously dedicated procrastination. I thought I was good at it but my best is just staring at my wall for half an hour to avoid looking at my Italian homework (which I should be doing now BTW).

I did my resume today! And I joined a website that lists job openings in Japan! And I spent time sorting through current local openings and I picked two to investigate further! So many Adult Points today. (Also I joined Habitica, so I really get points for this, yay!)

That's awesome! Buckets of adult points for you. Good luck with all that. : D

So many forumgoers poking around Habitica lately....

Unfortunately, the proper Latin term for a "curriculum vitae" is "vitae cursus". :D

First day at new work done! I'm so tired, my brain's spinning on all the new information that got poured in and I didn't even count how many pieces I framed today. Notes for the future: the hooks for hanging up should not be left inside the frame when you close it, also watch what you're doing and failing that, try to not bleed on anything important.

A bit longer account:

The day started not-so-promisingly by getting stuck in the morning traffic in the most miserable rainstorm ever. I had to wait a bit in front of the store though, because with a bit of good luck I wasn't the only one late. :D The actual job was exactly as I remembered it with some new ways of doing things and muuuch fancier machines etc. than in the old place, but somehow I got very quickly into the flow of things. My only worry is that I can't lift a whole sheet of glass on my own so I'm going to have to rely on there being smaller (but big enough) pieces I can use, or someone else who can help lift one on the cutting machine thing.

At one point I goofed up with a frame I was working on and had to pull out all the nails that held a piece of art to its frame. I swear I wasn't even zoning off or anything, I just didn't pay attention for a tiny little second, slipped and cut my thumb... which I didn't even notice at first until I started wondering why my finger felt so wet. Oh, oops, that's a great first impression to make on a new employer I'm sure.

Anyway,

A+++ great place to work at!

(snip)

I'm glad it went (relatively) well! Even if you ended up leaking a little. : D It seems like it'll be a good match - that's wonderful.
