Well, I guess I can't argue with that. I'll bring more next time I visit, I promise~!

Why would you fight a Canadian? Is it like metaphorical fighting where you try to apologise the most?

I would never take on a Canadian in an apology contest! As a Lahti Finn I barely know the basic functions of an apology, let alone know how to wield one efficiently. :-\

I don't know what this is but it looks good...

I don't know what this is but it looks good...

This is poutine. It is a Very Canadian Thing. It's such a Thing that my university has a poutine festival every year in which you get to try different kinds of poutine. Kind of like that ice cream thing Iceland does. When you come visit Canada I'll take you to the best place to get it in Ottawa.

Maybe it is on Tim Horton's online menu?

"Hello, welcome to Tim Horton's how can I help you?"
"Hi, I'd like a double double and a dozen timbits please?"
"Ok will that be all?"
"Yes"
"Where am I delivering this?"
"...Iceland"

My friend from Iceland used to work for a pizza place as a delivery person. You don't know how many times I thought about calling and asking for a pizza to north america.

As long as the first of multiple deliveries doesn't wipe out the change bank.  ;)

BTW, thx for the link!  Did you see the part about poutine in politics? ;D

those are just the newest finds, anyway. I know we have another book somewhere full of clovers, i only stopped pressing them because there were SO MANY and what was the point, so at least 20 clovers have just withered away or been placed at random spots in the city, idk
you'll know where to find me.

I'm impressed by how you are able to find so many four-leaf clovers. I've spend a great part of my childhood looking for them and never found one. :O
Maybe there's an abundance of four-leaf clovers in Norway?

might be, i usually find them in clusters on my way home from the bus stop. hope it's not related to radiation or anything...

FWIW, clover over here has double-lobed leaves, sort of heart-shaped.  There are some examples in Starfallz' photo of her flower.

BTW-- does anyone have cross stitch diagrams for the Nordic Council Star?  Yarncrafters apparently doesn't, so I'm going general.

I have never found a four-leaf clover either..

Also.. it's not even October yet, but I'm super excited for Halloween.
Super.

I'm going to dress up. I still do that. Why not? It's the one time you can dress however you want here and no one will look at you weirdly.

I'm TOTALLY going to be Reynir.

Ditto on the 'super excited for Halloween' front. I love dressing up for it -and since it's on a Saturday this year, I'll actually have time to, hooray!

(AHH if you're going to dress as Reynir, you should share your costume in the cosplay thread when you have it complete!)
