So aniki, much kakoi!

She seems to like belts a lot, that makes her kinda animu by association.

This could be fallout:the movie by the looks of it. Maybe it is, I need to watch it to find out.

The belts are there to hold her mechanical arm in place! ... which, yeah, is pretty animu I guess.

Ok that does it, I have to see this movie.

Everyone here is talking about Mad Max right?
And then me planning to watch Alien or Prometheus
Probably Prometheus because seems cool
Prometheus is absolutely not as good as Alien. Here is why:

Prometheus:
Plot barely makes any sense.
Characters do the most frustratingly stupid things.
Aliens are more disgusting than threatening.
Does not contain any John Hurt.

Alien:
Plot makes absolute and total sense.
Characters are only tolerably stupid (apart from Ripley).
*The* Alien is the scariest thing ever, with the possible exception of a certain other aspect to the film which I can't say because spoilers.
Contains plenty of John Hurt.

(Why yes, I am an unbiased and totally reasonable source)

I still have to watch Mad Max, I have seen so many people talking about it, it must be really good.

But about movies... I LOVE "The Adventures of Tintin", have I already mentioned that? I grew up with the comics and the animated series, and now the movie... Even though it is not entirely faithful to the comics, when I watch it I have a wild grin on my face from beginning to end. If you want to see me fangirl like crazy, making annoying comments every five minutes and pointing out scenes that are just so perfect that I lose my hability to words and can only swoon, then yeah, just make me watch "The Adventures of Tintin".

I just watched it with my grandpa, who is the one responsible for this addiction of mine. I used to go to his house and spend hours and hours reading Tintin from old comic books that he bought in the late 1950's or something. Recently he had to move, and the whole collection was passed on to me. I feel so proud everytime I look at my bookshelf and see all the comics that have accompanied me since I was little: I have all the volumes, except for the very first and the very last (the one that Hergé never finished).

Sorry for my rambling, I just love Tintin so much, you guys.

Ugh, right in the gut with that nostalgia. I used to watch it all the time when I was young, too! I think I had figurines, as well, or something similar?

And on the topic of movies, are there any similar in atmosphere to the comic? I've looked at several post apocalyptic ones, but they all seem like gun-grilling gore fests, and that's not really what I want nowadays. :( Meaningful violence and blood are okay, though.

I can relate. The other week, my grandparents came over. I knew they were coming, but apparently I got the day wrong, because I walk down the stairs in my bathrobe and am ambushed with a hug from my grandmother.

Hmm. I stayed away from that movie for the very same reasons.

Maybe I will watch it after all.

SEE HOW MANY EASTER EGGS YOU CATCH.
I mean, it's not a direct adaptation, but I feel like they took all the right liberties. Hollywoodized, of course, but it's such a fun movie.

(Seriously though, I went to go and see it in the theater when it had just come out and after the opening credits I turned my sister and whispered, "This is it, I can now die happy.")

Spoiler: show
I may or may not have squealed audibly. Thankfully it was a matinee on a weekday so there were only three other people in the theater.

It took every fiber of my being to not make a fuss everytime I saw something that was exactly as it was in the comics.
And they are going to make another movie... *tears of joy*
