It's monday, and the adult adventure resumes:
I am incredibly dizzy today, I think the weather or air pressure is messing with me. Sometimes it feels like I'm walking through the corridors on a ferry, not a hotel on sound ground far away from any sea.... Ahwell. Only ten more minutes till I go home!
Today's the third day in a row I eat pasta with tomato sauce for dinner. I am weak and I love pasta
I realized that the thing that's stressing me out the most about working at a czech hotel is etiquette. I'm norwegian, we don't do etiquette. Czechs do. Hotels do. That's double the etiquette dose I am not used to deal with. Even going to eat dinner is scary, because in norway we say "thanks for the food" after we eat, but czech has an equivalent of "bon apetite" that is said before we eat, and forgetting the czech thing and not doing the norwegian thing because it sounds dumb in czech... Long story short I'm very rude always. At least I remember to say "good day" to everyone I pass by.
I helped out with cleaning a room just now, and I found:
- pretty flowers in the bathroom that I'm taking with me home
- A broken tiara in the bathroom trashcan
- six czech koruna in the closet (now also declared mine)
- hardboiled eggs and butter packets in a coffee cup. The trashcan is empty
