Sister and I: Watching Princess Mononoke for the first time.
Things are going well.
Dad walks downstairs.
Peoples' arms and heads start getting chopped off.
Dad: "This is... rather violent."
Sister: "I think it's only this part?"
Dad leaves.
Things are going well.
Dad comes back down.
Somebody gets shot, starts bleeding everywhere.
Dad: "Uhh..."
Sister and I: *sideyes*

We'll see how things go from here  :P

Rule no.1: Whenever you are watching a movie, your parents will always ALWAYS walk in at the worst possible moment. Whether that be an extremely violent gory scene or a very steamy romantic scene. This will always happen. There is no escaping it. (This is why I hate watching movies on airplanes, I always feel like my neighbour or the flight attendant is going to look over and judge me...)

However, there was one scene... where I told my sister that she was eating his nose, and that's romantic.

Also, it's my 13 year old sister who is showing me Princess Mononoke, and it's her favorite movie, heh...

Wow...that movie terrified me at that age. I still can't seem to bring myself to watch it and I'm 22 now...then again, I'm kind of a wimp...

Tha age limit varies by country. For Finland it is 7 years. My almost 10 year olds have seen it several times, first with an older sibling later by themselves. And, yes I have seen it too so I know there is some scary parts.

OOOHHH wait story time!!! Ok, so when I was little I was at my grandparents house and my second cousins were there too and they are all a lot older than me, so they were watching some romantic comedy and this guy and girl were making out and I was like 4 or something and I asked them what was going on, and one of them replied "he's stealing her heart" and me, being 4, thought that he was actually sucking her heart out of her body and then I had nightmares about it all night. So yes. That is how I learned about what kissing was.

I heard someone mention watching princess mononoke at a young age?? I saw it for the first time when I was like, 8... It messed me up. It messed me up so bad and it's my favourite movie and that probably explains more about me than it should

also me having watched it a million times is probably the only reason I can handle today's update, with that freaky eye thing...

It's an anime movie by Hayao Miyazaki that's deceptively childish. Haiz might have accidentally posted that here instead of the anime discussion. You should watch it.

I googled it and it seems an awesome movie :0
Maybe the Two anime movies I watched were only Hetalia, Paint it white! And Pompoko but I'm definetly going to watch that One too.

it wasn't an accidental wrongposting, people were talking about it here... But I think it has been mentioned several times in the anime thread as well. I just skimmed thru the convo now it's wayy to early in the morning for me to do anything tbh
