A pound is the American equivalent of a kilo (like, equal to 0.4 kilos); this specific chocolate bar I'm guessing is called a Pound Plus because it weighs 1.1 pounds.
For some reason I first thought Seurat was a store and that you'd somehow defrauded them for a chocolate.

And yes, a pound is about 0.45 kilo I believe? I might confuse it with a pint, it's been a while since I've had to tangle with those units. At any rate I was referring to the oddness of calling it a pound-thingie when it's clearly portioned according to the metric system.

Since there's a Trader Joe's in Richmond, Virginia, I wasn't surprised that they have the stores here. There are two within walking distance of me. One of them is in fact on the same block as the building I had class in today. (I'm assuming that's where my teacher got it)

Well, with 500 g, it actually does weigh one metric pound = 1.1023 U.S. (a.k.a. avoirdupois) pound.

There are Trader Joe's shops in the US? Here it is a store brand of the most common discounter (Aldi) and the logo looks exactly the same :o).

Trader Joe's was bought by Aldi in 1979.  It is a U.S. chain (started in Southern Calif., still strongest on the West Coast and in college towns), kind of "fancy and/or weird food for overeducated people on tight budgets."  I love it madly.

I thought it was a mom thing and scoffed at it until I moved to New York... Now I can't live without it. (because it's good but also the regular supermarket has nothing)
