I called in sick this morning, something I rarely do. I'm in my second week with the cold-from-hell that's been going around. I think it peaked last night. Another week to go by the standards of this bug.

Pros: Nice sunny day, blue skies, delicate breeze, clear air, spring is coming fast
Cons: Too hot for jacket, had to carry it around and overheat one arm at a time, headache, nearly fell asleep at my desk like five times (really boring subject of lesson didn't help)

Shine, I did fall asleep in my lecture today. Oops.

Weather today's rather mild, I hope it's warm enough tonight so I don't have to bring my coat to work. Trying to hang it is a pain.

Spent the whole of my morning shouting into Skype because I'm finally trying to file my tax return and after downloading an app I know I'm only going to use once just to get the W2 from the university and going through all my income it turns I can't complete the file without this one little form from Healthcare.gov which won't let me log in for some reason and of course there's no email helpline because everything has to be done over the phone never mind that phones are evil and completely unreliable and I have two phones and my American phone won't work at all overseas and my Chinese phone won't make international calls so I had to use Skype and my computer's internal microphone likes to keep turning the input down to zero for some reason so I have to sit there and manually hold the sound slider in place and put my face right next to the computer the whole time I'm talking and after three separate attempts to reset the password it still says I'm using the wrong temporary password and I finally told them to send a paper copy to my grandmother's house so she can scan it and email it to me and it's going to take 7 business days just to get there, WELCOME TO AMERICA!

You can't really tell in this picture, but there is a LOT of snow blowing around out there, and more falling!

And I was about to start complaining about a desk that gets all the sun which reaches the classroom and therefore has ridiculous temperatures in the last two hours of school...
