An Icelandic conworlder made a map of an alternate cold-war Europe with a number of very large and noticeable differences such as Finland being conquered by the Soviets, the establishment of an independent Kurdistan, the formation of a Balkan Federation and Austria being split up between east and west. A Danish publisher then took this map (without permission or royalties by the way) and put it in their high school history textbook.
