When my present husband and I were first married, I moved over to SA to join him, with my two then mid-teens sons, the older kids being grown up and moved away by then. Husband is a lousy cook, so the boys and I took over the cooking. Husband mostly liked that, but could never handle our version of stirfry, because we would toss a couple of roughly chopped lemons in with the meat and veggies. Took him years to get across to us that for most people lemon is a sparingly-used condiment rather than an ingredient! We still like it though. And we still munch on whole lemons.
