anyway~ that was embarrassing. i got my comic book writers mixed up. tony bedard wrote the run on blue beetle i don't want to talk about. kieth griffen wrote the run on blue beetle we deserve. whoops. i am really pumped about it, though. ted kord and jaime reyes in the same comic? yes please.

I imagined the best thing: "I have a friend she saw Sigrun Eide take her shirt off in the shower and she said that Sigrun Eide has an 8-pack. That Sigrun Eide is ripped." And now I am laughing very hard

Also, I'm currently in a library and my mother has given me a very vague warning. "Be careful who you talk to in the library" oh dear oh goodness dearie me mother
And then she left me by my lonesome

This is a recipe for disaster and I'm gonna burn it in the oven - Anybody else in any similar situations at the moment?

Wow, you're right! And it doesn't even look like the wrong time-frame since the Norwegians already act like it's the good ol' Viking days of looting the heck out of Ireland.Or dress like it anyway.
Maybe if the red-streaked dude at the front were the Most Best Captain with a big grin on her face, it would look just like the comic. Apart from the art style, I mean.

The Chernobyl disaster happened 30 years ago and all the sites and blogs I read are posting Chernobyl themed articles today; many of them how the news were handled in my country. (It took days till the Sovietunion acknowledged that something terrible happened and  they tried to downplay the danger even then) Reading about this gives me strange feelings; as a child I didn't understand much, but I do remember the confusion and perplexity back then...

Same here. I remember we were not allowed to go outside to play during the school days all of a sudden, and grownups telling me to not touch any rainwater, but other than that I can't remember much of it. I think had a vague idea that Something Bad had happened a long way away and somehow we had to be careful because of that.

Here it was topped with the fact that the official news communicated the Soviet version of the events for a while, while the unofficial rumors were telling that something was very-very wrong and we should be careful - for example avoid eating certain vegetables, like lettuce. And people were confused what to believe.

My family were in the UK on holiday when Chernobyl happened. I don't remember much about it, but mum and dad were seriously debating whether we should cut it short and fly back to Australia (in the end we didn't).
