Eternally Cursed, Leaving Others To Traverse

Sitting and talking, the lad
Reynir says "That's strange!"
The cure that the pastor had
Should have prevented the change.

Was that what prevented
The flock from finding their way?
Without the help she commended,
They'd be there to this day...

But the cure she did not take,
There was a limited supply.
How could a God's servant forsake,
The needy and let them die?

Treating those with needed skills,
Capable of helping others first.
Such a nice lady, clear of mind still,
Though her state is wearing worse.

You Are Not Normal (based on We Are The Normal by the Goo Goo Dolls)

We are out of our way, I hope we haven't gone astray
There is hope yet for all of us
All the same, you might think I've gone insane
That ain't so obvious
It's a terrible plight, I hope everything's alright
It might sound preposterous
Even still, I have my task to fulfill
So the ghosts don't bother us

You are not normal
You're face and you're eyes
The rest of you died
You are not normal
You're face and you're eyes
The rest of you died

To get rid of the wights, we need the spiritual light
We have need of your services
Now the church has been found
Thanks to my friendly sheep-hound
It wasn't so obvious
You're a soul trapped within, don't know where to begin
To stop metamorphosis
It's a terrible sight, how do I make it alright?
I haven't the foggiest

You are not normal
You're face and you're eyes
The rest of you died
You are not normal
You're face and you're eyes
The rest of you died

You are not normal
You're face and you're eyes
The rest of you died
You are not normal
You're face and you're eyes
The rest of you died

You are not normal
You're face and you're eyes
The rest of you died
You are not normal
You're face and you're eyes
The rest of you died

Faithful Confident, Sullen Friend Absent

Relying on her faith,
The heavenly Father she'd known,
Even in the bleakest case,
She was never alone.

Reynir mentions Odin,
What to him it represents.
The pastor showing chagrin,
It's not quite what she meant.

Giving her migraines,
Sometimes these people young.
The subject is changed,
Where is his friend, so high-strung?

Onni would have liked to come,
But he has a lot on his plate.
A pity, her final thanks to him,
She won't be able to give straight.

She has a deep feeling,
They won't meet past this night.
So no future dealings,
That's a good thing, right...?

Travellers Fatigued, Midnight Blitzkrieg

Night comes once more,
For the weary travellers.
To settle old scores,
Returns the circus macabre.

Birds sleeping in roost,
Disturbed by the trampling.
Advancing terror induced,
Blitzing, the damned things.

Sleeping in the grounds sacred,
By the fire side's glow.
Beings filled with hatred,
Burning malice overflowed.

The night comes, encouraged,
For the old house of prayers.
To settle all their grudges,
Charging on them unawares.
A man left his Icelandic home
Escaped to Denmark to freely roam
With hair braided red
He got hit on the head
With a crate lid slammed onto his dome

Magical Candelabra, Floor Is Now Lava

Dashing ever near,
With injurious hostility,
The beings of fear,
Still reducing proximity.

The church in their eyeline,
Their target is reached.
Into the building divine,
Through the portal they breach.

Through the hall they diffuse,
In search of their prey.
However, it's all a ruse,
Stone-etched runes on display.

As it steps on the signs,
Smoke and fire fills the nave.
By stroke or by design, for
The attackers, ambush engraved.

Magically came prepared,
With the candles set alight.
Spontaneous combustion flared,
Won't go without a fight.
A man left his Icelandic home
Escaped to Denmark to freely roam
With hair braided red
He got hit on the head
With a crate lid slammed onto his dome

Spiritual Service, No Need To Be Nervous

In bewilderment is
The ghostly equine.
An animal unhinge-d,
Viciously inclined.

Making her entrance,
The pastor of old.
Using her temperance,
To the fore, calmly strolled.

Come in all and one,
They're all welcome here.
The pastor Lutheran
Showing no ounce of fear.

The apparition cavalier,
"DO NOT SPEAK TO US WOMAN"
"No need to be so nervous, dears!"
She addresses the inhuman.

Like two opposite ends,
Of a spiritual spectrum.
The future depends,
On which one of them succumbs.

Not Here For Salvation, Rather Condemnation

"This is the path,
The path to the light."
"And the path to salv-"
Interrupting with spite.

Loudly roaring with wrath:
"WE'RE NOT HERE FOR YOUR SALVATION"
Such fury the wights hath,
Deliverance not their motivation.

They were abandoned, unjust,
Suffering, its declaration,
"THE WORLD WILL BE MADE TO SUFFER WITH US"
Twisted justice, not emancipation.

It's verbal attack repelled.
By her barrier staying sure.
Despite their strikes and yells,
The pastor's composure endures.

She poses a simple query
To the shadows raised skyward.
Unfaltering, unfearing,
She asks of them "Aren't you tired?"

They Are All Tired, Home All Desired

Tired too is the cleric,
Waiting so long, trapped.
For it empathetic,
For ages, handicapped.

Never abandoned they were,
Only lost, but now found.
They can go along with her,
All can be homeward bound.

Similar to lost sheep,
Looking for family.
Now the ghost weeps,
With traces of humanity.

The truth from within,
Crying tears of black.
Separated from their kin,
Longing to travel back.

From Baby Ovine, To Lady Divine

From a demonic night-mare,
From the abyssal deep.
To a little lost and scared,
Meek three-headed babby sheep.

With an outstretch-ed palm,
Coaxing them to come forth.
The pastor guides the lamb,
From cold dark to light's warmth.

The beast miniature,
Ovine ghost hysteric,
Divinely reassured,
Stepping towards the cleric.

With spirited souls,
Shadowing its hooves.
A deep rumble roll,
Makes the sleeping crew move.
A man left his Icelandic home
Escaped to Denmark to freely roam
With hair braided red
He got hit on the head
With a crate lid slammed onto his dome

Mammalian Swarm, Into The Pillar Warm

The disturbance continuing.
The rumbles and booms.
Whatever the pastor's doing,
The sounds of it fill the rooms.

Mikkel and Sigrun both
Grab each other in shock.
The many spirits goeth,
In a midnight monster rock.

The phantoms transforming,
To animals as they flock.
Up skywards they are storming,
Their paths no longer blocked.

Upwards, into the rafters,
To find their peace they go.
To the beyond, the hereafter,
In a column of heavenly glow.

----------------------------

Heavens Above (based on Tunnel of Love by Dire Straits)

Getting crazy on the altar, but it's the life that I choose
Sing about the witch-braid, sing about the path back, and the spirits confused
And I've been hiding in the church, drained, where my body's been and damned
And I don't know where I'll be tonight, but I'd always tell you of the Psalms
In a screaming ring of faces, I see her standing in the light
She had a spirit full of graces, just like them, she was a victim of the blight
She put her hand out, they believed her, said "let us up and let us go"
She had the phantoms turned to creatures, it was a column full of burning lost souls

And the spirits need returning, ether burning, soaring up
To the sky, from this world
Come on and let your soul guide from the church
To the heavens above

It's just a danger, danger, when you're finding out an unknown miss
She said "I knew you'd find me, stranger", she said "Braidy, I knew you would, like this"
It's just a cake, talk, mission, Reynir, let me help and pray
Hey spirits, tell the truth, yes, tell the truth 'cause you can join your family

And the spirits need returning, ether burning, soaring up
To the sky, from this world
Come on and let your soul guide from the church
To the heavens above

Well it's been a lonely struggle on solo services
A lonely struggle in a monster chrysalis
Another trouble just to take it in
And break away, break away, oh break away, break away

The dream, it looks so pretty to me, just like it always did
Have a Danish pastry on me, soon it begins
Oh, dream, it looks so pretty to me, just like it always did
Have a Danish pastry on me, soon it begins

[instrumental]

We had a cup of coffee, she said "we won't meet after this"
Just a lady disembodied, in a final reminisce
And in the church and steeple, she stood on her ground to say
"You were not abandoned, just lost, and now you've discovered your way"

And the spirits need returning, ether burning, soaring up
To the sky, from this world
Come on and let your soul guide from the church
To the heavens above

And in this church, in parallel, the animals parade
Spirits come from everywhere, from all around, to find escape
In this dark reality, her promises were made
To break away, break away, break away, break away, from murder-ghost and beasts decay, oh to break away

The dream, it looks so pretty to me, just like it always did
Have a Danish pastry on me, soon it begins
Dream, it looks so pretty to me, just like it always did
Have a Danish pastry on me, soon it begins

[awesome solo finish]

A Lamb With Frames, Finally Knows Her Name

In the dream land,
There's a pillar of light.
Watching it spanned,
In awe of its height.

Thanks for her aid,
To the pillar of flame.
As it begins to fade,
He wishes he knew her name.

To the Icelandic mage man,
While heading up to the skies,
A familiar lamb says "It's Anne."
And some others apologise.

To the heavens and Amen,
To the clouds up on high.
He says "Ah, Anne" and then,
It's their final goodbye...

Sun Shines From Above (based on Sunshine Of Your Love by Cream)

It's getting near dawn
When we enter the rising light
I'll soon be with you my lord
And we access the pearly skies
I'll be with the angels soon
I'll be with you when the souls start coming

I've been waiting so long
To be where I'm going
When the sun shines from above

I'm with you my lord
The light's shining through on you
Yes, I'm with you my lord
It's the coming of us all too
I'll meet with the angels now
I'll meet with you when my spirits raise up

I've been waiting so long
To be where I'm going
When the sun shines from above

I'm with you my lord
The light's shining through on you
Yes, I'm with you my lord
It's the coming of us all too

Rumbles Echo, Wait Until Dawn To Go

The loud rumble booms,
The walls flake with the reverb.
Three by terror consumed,
But one remains undisturbed.

While in obliviousness,
Stone bits fall on his head.
The others in paralysis,
Curiosity would kill them dead.

Mikkel suggests to form a pact,
Not to investigate the source.
Before sunrise they won't act,
And Sigrun in accord, of course.

And so the pair agree thereon,
Both emotional wrecks.
So they'll stay put 'til dawn.
A better time in which to check.

Building Consecrated Now Dilapidated

The door opens to the
Church hall, like a war zone.
So long pastor, barely knew her,
Troll body crushed by stone.

The church now in a state,
The walls and ceilings imploded.
Physically couldn't take the weight,
Was it supporting the whole load?

Themselves lucky, they can count,
They weren't by the ceiling crushed.
Unlike some others around,
But she wouldn't care so much...

Useful Mageling, Deceased Changeling

Their little mageling,
Turn out to be useful, fairly.
Knowing glances exchanging,
Its size is apparent, scarily.

By design or by luck,
Their faith was redeemed.
The troll body was struck
With a head-spitting beam.

Sigrun can't believe that
They camped next to that thing.
But now it's time to leave,

Are They In They Clear, Nothing More To Fear?

So are they in the clear,
With one worry fewer?
Was he successful, the seer,
Ridding them of their pursuers?

Yeah! Uh, technically,
The seer himself did nowt.
But... yeah! Unequivocally,
All taken care of, no doubt!

Good let them go then,
And be off from this locale.
Like a big farmer hen,
The squirt he has to corrale.

No more falling behind.
