Omgggg. This is perfect! Totally fits my headcanon for Emil where he's actually like, really nice  and caring but he doesn't want to admit it to anyone or have people find out, even the people he's nice to!

Haha, you're is a wonderful caring human being Emil and you're not fooling anyone for a second with that silly "must have a perfect and impeccable reputation" act I like his face in the last panel (both of their faces actually, I think the expressions you give the characters are what I like best about your pictures)

Thank you! I do believe expressions are my strongsuit, I draw faces a lot. Glad someone appreciates them in particular

Got bored tonight and decided to draw "hard-boiled" Lalli doing magic stuff as I needed practice anyway. Perspective seems a bit skewed I guess, I should probably choose easier poses to work with.

Is Lalli doing some crazy mage martial arts here? He looks a lot more muscled than in the comic, but I'm guessing that was the intention what with him being all hard boiled and all ^_^  It looks like you put a lot of thought into getting the mage clothing spot on as well so kudos on that. Keep drawing and I'm sure the poses and perspective will get better, especially if you're working with difficult poses like this - after all, practice is fun and the more you draw the better you'll get (at least that's what I've been telling myself a lot recently )

I like to think that Emil has always found fire to be comforting, but maybe when he tries to find comfort in the flames today he'll have a bit more to think about. This turned out a tad sadder than I'm used to drawing so I may just have to do something doubly adorable for next week to make up for it (assuming that my stupid workload doesn't kill me first) Scanning it into the computer also meant that some of the details on the screaming faces in the fire and the trolls in the smoke were lost (boo hiss!), but someday I'll learn to handle technology properly!

Hehe, on a side note apparently my bag isn't completely waterproof (see splotches on the top ), aaaaand I'm probably going to be spending the next week acting like a weirdo and drawing people's shoes and legs because my inability to draw feet is starting to really bug me.
