I had a lot of trouble picturing Lalli with kids of his own, it just didn't... seem right, you know? And then, with a little introspection I discovered that, in my headcanon, Lalli just doesn't have kids. Lalli can't handle kids (at least not in this phase of his life). Stop.

Then, I couldn't help imagining him visiting his nephews... a total derp!
"Tuuriiii!!!! What am I supposed to do with him??!??!"
"Ugh, just hand him to Onni!"

Onni, in the other hand, is a wonderful uncle and adores his nephews ^^ Lalli loves them too, but doesn't know what to do hehe

Oh, and Starfallz, those are some seriously great watercolors

This whole series is so good and super sweet! ^w^ I can't really see Lalli with kids either, so this is perfect xD

HAHAHA no, she's too sweet to froth, but if she had a tad more of bad temper, she would... she just said "Now you won't be able to get mad when I wake you up at 6:00 to study"

I promised myself that when I left for Japan I wouldn't make any fanart while I was here. I sat myself down and had a reasonable conversation with myself and I told myself that I had to enjoy the trip and not think too much about the comic and that I would be a good family member and not hide places by myself and paint. I told myself that I could bring a few watercolours, but only if I were going to use them to make things related to the trip. And I did. I really really did. I have been making Japan related watercolours all week. But then a thing happened. And I couldn't help myself. I mean, I've never drawn/painted a Sigrun before. And there were so many beautiful Sigruns being posted. Then I found the perfect reference picture of Black Widow from the Avengers. It's not my fault she reminds me a lot of Sigrun. So I was just feeling really artsy. And well. Um. Yeah. 4 hours later my promise to myself was entirely crushed into the floor and forgotten. But hey, at least I lasted 6 whole days without making SSSS related art. That's gotta count for something right? ...I'll just stop talking now so you can view the damage.



Sorry the shading got wonky in places. I only have the three primary colours and black and white paint with me, so it took forever to get a colour that would work (and then keeping it consistent was a complete nightmare).

Sigrun turned out to be the most difficult to pin down as a future mother...

It made sense to me, the glorious Colonel Eide and her cat army, eating trolls before they run out of hand! She'd given up a family, because the army was her family, of course.

It just came to me. I couldn't say no to that!! Curiously, having been the hardest to decide, once I got it, Sigrun's future headcanon was very prolific... I can totally see Sigrun being that kind of friend&mentor-but-not-that-good-as-a-mom kind of mother, so her partner must compensate for her leaks... who knows. I'd love to know what you think about this.

 


So this was the final result...

I tip my hat to the courageous man that fathered Siggy's child, he must be a very patient guy.
