Okay, so we all know that cosplay is super fun and super cool, which coincidentally can also be said about SSSS ^_^ so here we are, a thread dedicated to all SSSS cosplay endeavours!

We have participants from all skill levels showing their work here so don't be shy about sharing, be that your fully made derp kitty costume or your sudden realisation that you have the same hairstyle as Emil. You can share your progress pictures as you go on, and ask for advice from more experienced cosplayers (or give advice if you have something to contribute), show us your funny photoshoot pictures and of course appreciate what everyone else is doing.

Too cute to be the spitting image, but the hair is spot on! Also something about that disappointed "aaw man" expression is just extremely entertaining.

I think Emil would like fancy/colorful ties like this! Sorry my hair isn't as fluffy as last time...

Create one, and I bet you'll get more responses than you imagined!    If any of you have cosplay posts you'd like moved there, just let me know.  (Or copy your content into a new post and delete your old one, to be fully self-actualized.)

Remember, at heart we're an anarcho-syndicalist collective; "supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some... farcical aquatic ceremony!"

Which is to say, if creating a new thread seems like a good idea, go right ahead!

I think it's time for cosplay to have its very own thread on this Forum.  (I'm open to moving it to General Discussion if we get any entries for ARTD.)

We've already had a few submissions already -- Gwenno, was that you dressed as Braidy? -- and I hope to see many more.

Haha yeah, that would be me ^_^ I was kinda hoping that me posting my less than amazing cosplay would make people less shy about posting their own cosplay pics  Guess maybe it worked to a degree, but hopefully having an actual thread for it we'll see the cosplay floodgates open at long last!



I've fixed this up a little bit since the last picture was taken, buuuuut my camera is slightly smashed from the bag of technological death (aka my ridiculously full backpack) so no pictures until I get a new photo-taking device. I'll also be wearing this to a few uk comicons this year (as well as dreamland Braidy, which should *hopefully* be done for scifi weekender next weekend )

On that note, if anyone is going to any of the following cons please don't feel shy to say Halló! I think I'll be using the braidy cosplay for all of them so you'll be able to recognise me hopefully ^_^

Soooo, I'm guessing this kinda counts as art (seeing as there's no cosplay thread forum yet as far as I can see). This is my attempt at cosplaying Braidy. I'm not quite finished yet as the costume in the posted picture had to be "completed" by a certain time and I was just too busy to do any more >"< It will be fixed up soon however (amongst other things. how on earth could I have forgotten the orange tape!), and some of my friends who actually cosplay properly will be doing a photoshoot around town in the next few months so I'll hopefully be able to get decent pictures as well 
I'm not a professional cosplayer or anything like that, heck, i don't even know how to use a sewing machine, but for some reason I desperately wanted to cosplay Braidy, and seeing as I nearly had the hair anyway why not (It was also a great way of introducing my friends to the comic, with the following few days filled with people emailing me with variations on "ohmygoshthiscomicisthebestthingever!" )

It would be really lovely to see other people's SSSS cosplays as well. After reading though some of the costume threads I'm sure there are plenty of you who'd do much better jobs than I did!

I hope to have an Emil cosplay done by October, in time for either Halloween or New York ComicCon. I have no idea how to make a costume, but I got a black, fitted turtleneck, so that's step 1! If I go through with this, I'll post my progress here.
