Olga, those are great! Too bad Sigrun wasn't with you for the climb up the ladder - could have Photoshopped some water and a Floffy-tentacle into that one!

Hi everyone,

Checking in for the first time since January. Everyone's colsplay efforts look just amazing. I want you all to know that you have lifted my spirits today. I woke up with a sinus headache that is threatening to turn into an infection. I have just started a job that is physically taxing (though good for me in the long run). I walk around a truck/lorry lot for most of the 8 hour shift checking to be sure the refrigerator units are working properly on the vans so the food in them doesn't spoil.  The good thing is that I am going to loose the 40 pounds that I have been trying 10 years to loose. There is no way I would work this hard at a gym. The bad thing is that it has been 95˚ to 100˚F this week with the humidity putting the feel of things into 105˚F+ range. I woke up feeling low and intimidated by my day. Just reading about the wonderful cosplay costumes has cheered me up. Thanks.

Omg these cosplays all look so good!

I am 100% for certain gonna cosplay Lalli at Katsucon in February, so I'll keep you all posted on how that's going as I make the costume!

Almost done with my Lalli costume!  Just missing the wig, the shoes, and the arm bands.

I'll be wearing it at Katsucon, so if anyone will be there, look out for me!

Thanks!  I'm quite proud of the rifle.  I freehanded a silhouette on cardboard and cut it out, then traced and repeated so I had four cardboard silhouettes.  I glued them together, covered it all in duct tape, painted it, and added athletic tape for the white tape.  It's quite sturdy, very lightweight, and will easily pass any con weapon check. ^.^
