Posting this here because it was inspired by an earlier conversation, and that's really what makes it funny.

The assignment was an improved post-it note comic, one panel a post-it (they're like, an inch & a half wide), with a specific type of pen that happens to have terrible line quality. And we were given an hour.

(The whole last half was done in fifteen minutes, and the last six panels in four minutes, if you can't tell.) :P

-*munch munch*

Decided to teach myself digital portrait painting at 12 AM (on the one day when I have to wake up at seven, good idea Pine :P). Since I'm impatient, here's a WIP of what I've been working on:

I admire both your wip (nice colors! and form!) and your digital-painting-self-teaching-tenacity. Art is more important than sleep....probably.

I also started trying to teach myself realistic? portrait? whatever digital painting about a week ago, along the lines of "hey I sort of know what I'm doing with actual paint maybe I can just..." (Answer: nope.)

I really like her already! Especially her hair.

aaah, they look cool! It's nice to see how much better you are at drawing hair now, it has much better fwoosh and floof and general flow, you know?

ahhhhhhhhh yes thank you!

i like drawing hair even if curls escape me

also, i tried drawing mabel pines even though i've only drawn her one time before and i didn't have any references so you can tell how well that went

I would have miserably failed had I not taken a painting class last year and painted myself a lot. Good luck in your future painting endeavors!

"Art is more important than sleep"... I say as I bring my computer & tablet up onto my bed to work on the thing. *promptly falls asleep and wakes up 2 1/2 hours later* (4:30 pm - 7 pm, three cheers for odd timing)

Well, I think I'll join you.

The dude in the armor is Dhelran and the angry blonde is named Sheyla.  She's a sci-fi character and her magical ability is to fry or manipulate electronics.  The government is trying to kill her. Then lots of random people with no story.
An innate goofball who wanted to be elegant and composed.  That ain't happening.

The only mistake I can see is that the right earring might be defying gravity with that inclination angle.

Otherwise it looks pretty good.
