Great stuff MintheTea! I especially like the Hiisi! There’s something really fascinating about deer-type antlers on a humanoid. Is the hiisi a protagonist or a threat?

Love them.  Like the Reynir-like addition :)

Great job, MintheTea! You've put some great expressions on those faces!

I'm looking forward to seeing how your comic develops! Is it too soon to tell when you will publish it, or did I miss an announcement in the thread?

Thanks for sharing your work-in-progress!

The Hiisi (I'll be using his name, Juha, for simplicity going forward) is a bit of a dubious character in terms of the story. Juha isn't entirely a helpful figure, sometimes seeming like he's actively antagonizing the main protagonist and making her life harder. And yet at other times he helps her through situations that could potentially get her killed for no clear reason. He's a bit of a does what he wants when he wants sort of character, closer in personality to the more modern interpretations of the Hiisi as I've come to understand them but physically far more ancient and threatening.

Currently too soon to tell as my life is a little chaotic at the moment, I was hoping for this August but given that I changed the plot drastically things have been set back a bit. I'll definitely try and keep everyone here updated on how it's going though!

i do have some full color character busts on the way for your entertainment

Thank you! He's going to be an interesting character to follow coming forwards, a Huldrekall who doesn't particularly enjoy the idea of seducing people and is generally quite reserved.

Are Rune’s ears hairy or feathered? In either case they are lovely! In the sketch all of the winged ones are him? I’m asking because the two bottom ones look like they are playing or chasing each other :)

Rune's ears are feathered, nice and fluffy looking to match his wings. And yes all the sketches are of him! My sketch pages tend to get a bit cluttered is all ^^

Amazing work, MintheTea!   O_O

Is the Hiise as big as it seems in the sketch?
And should I ask how the harpy got those glasses? Anyway he (?) must be an impressive view with those huge red wings.

Looking forward for more!

Juha (The Hiisi) Is capable of shifting his form, becoming larger the less human he appears. So yes it is possible for him to get as large as he is in the sketch (And larger). Typically he stands around 207cm (6’9” i believe) though.

As for how the harpy got his glasses, sometimes they’re just born with poor vision as humans are, such is the case for Rune. He does show off his wings often (he knows he’s a gorgeous bird ;) )

The vision check for a flying person must be interesting :) His needs for depth perception are something else!

Does Juha have the tail in all his forms? I’d love to have one! Preferably a prehensile tail obviously.

I really like your character designs!

Rune’s eye appointments are definitely much longer than average unfortunately for him! And yes Juha has a tail in all forms, even when he’s as close to human as he gets he still has a tail and small antlers. Hasn’t quite mastered the whole looking human thing yet. Thank you for all the kind words!
