I was just looking through some of my old art and the amount of change made me so surprised, not just in the painting but also the style of drawing.

These are some of the first things I ever watercoloured:



and then almost a year later:

Looking back on past work is fun! I've had a ton of improvement since I joined this fandom:

Over a year and a half ago:

And just very recently:

I think that improvement is mainly due to 3 things: more use of reference images, a better art program with better tools, and better motivation. I used to be super unmotivated with art and usually never spent more than hour on something.

here's a birthday gift commission i did for a friend:

she's a character in my friend's book, her name is Thistle and she's so adorable drawing her almost killed me

at some point I drew a quick Zianu to test out shadowy things


I also drew some steven universe fanart from the episode hit the diamond, putting it under spoiler for. spoiler purposes

i'm not sure if i was thinking hindu(indian?) specifically while designing because i suck at research and don't wanna accidentally do some cultural wrongs, so I always try to just make something ethereally non-placable, but im not sure if those are good things hahah. but i'm happy with the design too ^____^
