One that I read that no one has mentioned yet is Breaking Cat News, wherein our three intrepid reporters bring breaking news coverage of such events like "There's a new picture on the wall," "The People bought a different kind of kibble," and "The trees are falling apart."
I showed that to my mom, and she nearly fell out of her chair laughing.
It's like xkcd with cats.

It's 1am, and I'm binge-reading on Goblins. I don't think I'll stop anytime soon.
Dang.  That good?  I'd love a new story (to go with Cat News funnies) while I archive buffer Unsounded and Ava's Demon.
Feel free to PM.

Yes. Very good. Another thing I can recommend is Chirault. Fun, exciting and easy to read.

Yes, that good. Very, very good, and I'm really sad that I read through nine years' (or something) worth of comic in just two days. Anyone knows the update schedule?

I was told that Unsounded would be dark, like slavery and extreme violence dark, and I was fine with that. But no one told me that it would have been jars full of guts dark. I was alright even with that, but I gave up after a while. Mostly because I didn't like the plot and how dragged and senseless and complicated it was, but also because of the darkness of it.

Moral: I shouldn't ignore age ratings on comics. But I just know that I'm going to do it again.

BTW, what do you mean with Duanespeak? I don't find anything weird in it...

Well in my opinion he tends to... ramble.

He does? I ramble all the time, I probably wouldn't notice it.

Oooh, an Unsounded topic mushroomed while I was AWOL!

I'm pretty new to it, too, picking it up seriously (after several months of sitting in my bookmarks) when it just got onto that break. But I love the artwork, love the complicated plot, love the fleshed out characters... I even love the gory darkness, haha. Read through it three times. Now I'm satiating cravings by checking out the Ask Duane and Sette blog, as well as the artists own blog. And those extra side stories about Duane and Mathis. Haven't read Duane's yet, waiting until things get unbearable.

How comes nobody (if I read well) mentioned The noob ? It's not updating very often these days, but there is a lot of fun to be enjoyed in the 400+ pages already available.
Also, in the TWC list, I recently discovered this Snow by night. An imaginary XVIIIth century, strongly reminiscent of colonial North America : tricornes, muskets, fur trade, coureurs des bois... The authors designed a complete world with only a few cleverly chosen twists from the real world. The result is troubling.

Lots of my favourites have been mentioned already, but one definitely bears mentioning!

Spindrift is an absolutely GORGEOUS comic that's currently 86 pages in. Unfortunately, due to some extremely difficult IRL circumstances, the artist has been taking some time off this year, but I expect the regular schedule will pick up eventually. I really do hope so - the story seems very interesting, and the art just makes me weep sweet tears of joy. :D

Aw man, all of my favourites have been mentioned already :/

I guess I can add Sakana onto the list. It's a slice-of-life web comic about two brothers who work at a fish market in Japan, and their adventures dealing with their co-workers/relatives/roommates! It has an on going plot, and the art's pretty solid. It's better than I'm making it sound.

That is how it all began for me:
A friend of mine gave me a list of things I MUST read when I started discovering the internet a few (or some more, time flies) years ago. Our family was a tad bit late blooming concerning internet. From that list I started reading:

Son of the Philosopher (which has been completed recently)
INK and WURR on deviantart.com
Unsounded
The Abominable Charles Christopher
League of Super Redundant Heroes
Strays
Spindrift
Thistil Mistil Kistil
Fey Winds
Off-White
The Last of the Polar Bears
The Meek

aaand

A Redtail's Dream (which soon became one of my favourites, not only because it updated daily)

I stayed with Minna. And now I'm here.

And I expanded my list by

Saint For Rent
Namesake
Not A Villain
Blindsprings
Carciphona
Fallen
Megan Kearney's Beauty and the Beast
Sister Claire
The Midnight Tea Party
Alice and the Nightmare
The Black Brick Road of O.Z.
(oof, what else, I know there's more...) Olympus Overdrive (just recently, and yay, Hades for once is not the Bad Guy!)
Erstwhile
@inkblazers
Vampire Fetish
Mephistos
Grey is...
Todd Allison and the Petunia Violet

among some others I probably forgot. Oof, what a list. But SSSS is still my favourite.
kind of getting along: :germany: :uk:

rusty: :spain:

very rusty: :vaticancity:

still trying (appearantly failing) to learn: :japan:
