Enska/English:
Hello, my name is Þórir Pétur, and I am from Iceland. I am born and raised on Iceland, so Icelandic is my first language (which is the reason I started with it). I have also learned English and Danish (like all Icelanders have to do) but I have only managed to maintain  my English knowledge (for obvious reasons) while my Danish has unfortunately deteriorated with time. I am learning Spanish at the moment, and am planning to learn many other languages in the future. Truth be told, the list of languages I am planning to learn is so long that it is more of a list of which languages in the world I would like more to learn than others XD.
I am with the same introduction in all the other languages, so you know what it should say in them all.

(P.S. All the introductions were translated from the Icelandic one, and the española one is probably the worst translated of them all, even though I spent the most time in that one XP)
I speak/write/understand: :iceland:, :denmark:, :england:
I am learning: :spain:

Hiya there, ÞórirPP!

I actually understood most of the Spanish one, and could understand the rest from context. Which honestly made me feel so proud of myself. ^-^

Oh, I didn't even know this thread existed! Here we go!

Hello, my name is Daniela, but my friends call me Gämmel. I'm 22 years old and live in Germany. Last ocotber I jointed the Stand Still Stay Silent fandom and I've enjoyed myself great here ever since! I've been learning English in school since the 3rd grade, I also had French and Spanish, but the latter only for two years. I can read French a bit, but I can't really talk or write it. I'm learning Swedish since october, but I'm not really good yet.

(That is all I can muster in French, and I needed to look up two words for just that text. The rest would just be google translate)

(Same goes for Swedish. I don't want to cheat!)

Welcome welcome, Gaemmel! I can't really understand any of what you wrote in German, but I hope to one day be able to! I'm jealous of your language skills, I wish here in the U.S. we started learning languages sooner. In my school district we start in 6th grade (when you are 11 or 12) so I've been learning Spanish for about 7 years and still am not particularly good at it. Any other languages I know, I only know from being self-taught. But it's fun, so I guess that makes it worth it. :))

Oh, but I had been in school together with people who had English as long as I did and weren't any good at all! I think part of why I'm so good is because I hang around the internet a lot, and I have heard similar things of other people who are fluent in English. Then again, I have often heard people say that the language courses in American schools are crappy...

And don't worry too much about not understanding German! I think German is hard for non-native speakers, especially when they are not used to learning other languages. Understanding German might take you a while, but I think you can always ask for help around here :)

Khm, well, let's start

Hi, my name is Veta, I'm from Russia. Russia is very big country and I live far from the capital - in Siberia. About Siberia there are a lot of tales and anecdotes, not all of them are true. I'm 22, I study at the University. Besides teaching, I also work, so there is no free time. In the remaining time I read, play on the flute, meet friends and play Board games. I love listening to music, basically, is the direction that is dream folk. In addition to the Russian language, I know German, can understand Ukrainian, English writing. Comics I read last winter, and this year, along with heiteri and GeiYin played in Winter Fandom Battle

German: Hello!

I have German in the Uni and school, but it's over and I can no longer hear it, this beautiful language. My interests are books, and dream folk music. I have a favorite writer, this is Max Frei. He is a Russian writer, but live in Vilnius. Some of his books translated to German and other languages.

Swedish:
Hej!
