I'm a day late, but I did write a story for last week's prompt, based on JoB's "wild idea".  It's kind of melodramatic.

Grossling’s point of view was suggested as a prompt earlier, inspired by Grey’s Wanderer. Do we keep this?

Emil for next week is goos. Shall we make it just “Emil” or something more detailed?

I like it, and have responded on AO3 a little.

If I might make a different comment... I think that, to a person who had not read the suggestion, the fact that Michael had been arrested for smuggling books might seem like a significant but under-explained detail. It's such a strong echo of Mikkel!

Under the fourth line, there is one Sigriður where I think it should be Sigrun.

An interesting take! Does Michael have a gang of smugglers?

Actually, no, it's Sigriður.  This is between adventures, when the team was staying in Brúardalur.

Yeah, I kind of imagine a gang of smugglers.  Based on JoB's second suggestion ("And then there's the possibility that a crew - say, of five - had been ordered to stay and wait for any survivors coming out of the chaos. Imagine a band of twenty showing up, and waiting until the ship's out at sea (well, out in the Øresund) to 'tell' the crew that they do not intend to return to post-Rash Denmark ... nobody would take notice of yet another crew that suddenly vanished 'at Kastrup'."), it could be they're all survivors of Kastrup.

I don't intend to go on with this (though my intentions don't always work out), but it is kind of an interesting idea.  How many other Danish families thought their loved ones died at Kastrup, when they didn't?  Did some of them know what was going on?  I'm guessing the crew of that little ship got tossed overboard, which makes all those survivors, including Michael, murderers ...

There is no human on human violence in the comic whatsoever, hardly any traces of it even from around Y0 (Mr Hazmat Suit being a notable exception) but surely there is crime and violence. Of course in the comic we have seen very very little of any of the normal life, so there may well be crime that we just never came across.

A smuggling operation is perhaps the first fanfic idea I ever had, although I never put any sort of a draft in writing. But it is an environment conducive of crime, as some people are clearly very affluent, and there are old world artifacts just lying around in places where even a fairly haphazard team can get them.
